We hoped with the chef's training our special dinner would be great! THERE IS NO SERVICE! After many years of domestic and international travel, I have never given a tip...until tonight. I think the chef may have good trainiing..but the service is past bad! Unless, you are a local and service was wonderful. We know as we watched their service as we waited over an hour for our entree! The duck may have been good, if served when ready...it was not pretty when served! Stay at home or do fast food...it will be hot!

We stopped for a light lunch on our way to Royal Gorge. While this is not an especially "light fare" establishment, we did enjoy a wonderful soup & fresh garden salad in a charming and very French atmosphere. Wish we could have been here for an evening meal. Everything looked fabulous. Our salads were quite good and very fresh, served with warm bread.

There is not much fine dining in Canon City, but this restaurant is great and could hold its own in a larger city. Our dinner was excellent. There was a nice selection of wines as well as a full bar.
The menu changes daily and is a combination of traditional French and French Cajun.
The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner.

There is much to choose from on the menu. There were 4 in my party and we all had something different. No one was disappointed. We also had a bottle of the house Cabernet which was very good. The bread is homemade and delicious. We shared a dessert - Bourbon Pecan Pie. Yummy. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was quiet, allowing us to enjoy the food and each others company. The entire experience was wonderful and memorable.

We have eaten there before on special occasions because it is expensive. The last time we were there my wife had the duck. The skin was not crispy at all. I had the tournado which is supposed to be a steak from the tenderloin. What they served me was a faux tournado xrved from a rib steak. The service was so poor that we had to pur our own champagne. No more for us.
