“unexpected gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2011

The owners have a bakery shop next to the restaurant, and we went for breakfast to the bakery shop. The crossants were great, and we enjoyed having our breakfast there. Wish we had time to visit the restaurant in the evening, but alas we had to drive on.

“Wonderful authentic French cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2011

I had lunch here after golfing at Four Mile Ranch. They took our orders promptly (since it was a little after 1:30, when the lunch menu ends). Our waitress explained the menu written (mostly in French) on a large chalkboard. She had good pronounciation and the menu itself made me think I was back in Paris. There were a generous number of entrees to choose from at a very accommodating price. I had the pink trout with wild rice and toasted sliced almonds. It was delicious! The gumbo soup was also very good. The atmosphere is nice- less like a restaurant and more like a house. The decor includes fresh flowers on the table and french themed posters on the walls. I would come back any day!

“Better than Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2011

I found everything to be perfect. Friendly chef and wife. Excellent food and wine. Excellent service. Excellent decor. This is the kind of place we wish we could of found in Paris. The escargot was much better than restaurants in Paris.

“Great food, great service, a gem in the mountains.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2011

The food is not experimental. It is genuine traditonal French cuisine. The setting, the food and the service are exactly what you would expect in a small town in Dijon, outside Paris, or even in Provence. The husband and wife team do a great job in the kitchen and the dining room.

I have read a few reviews about the service. If you want to pay $200 per diner to have Henri and his four assistants fawn over you then by all means do so. But if you want a quaint husband and wife team to treat you as if you are family and deliver great food with a fine wine list all the while making you feel like you are welcome then this is your place!

“Thanks for a bad celebration dinner!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2010

We hoped with the chef's training our special dinner would be great! THERE IS NO SERVICE! After many years of domestic and international travel, I have never given a tip...until tonight. I think the chef may have good trainiing..but the service is past bad! Unless, you are a local and service was wonderful. We know as we watched their service as we waited over an hour for our entree! The duck may have been good, if served when ready...it was not pretty when served! Stay at home or do fast food...it will be hot!
