This is a nice, neat, clean hotel that deserves the "Plus" in its name. Good spot if you're passing through town. I've recently stayed here and at the Super 8 across the way -- this place is nicer, and is all it's supposed to be, so I'm giving it an "Excellent."

In the heart of rafting country it's well located to enjoy the Arkansas River, or hike one of the 14 thousand foot mountain peaks. The breakfastroom serves the usual free buffet, in a clean well maintained room.

Room Tip: Front rooms have views of the mountains, backrooms are quieter. No elevator

Just stayed one night for our rafting trip the next morning. The room was clean and quiet. Pillows were soo soft! We had a nice view. The hotel has a cafe inside, I had a hot mocha, and to be honest, it was the best mocha I have ever had!

The only con was the breakfast, it was just okay. But it was free, so I can't complain.

What to say? It's a Best Western. Clean, comfortable. The George V it ain't, but for what one pays, it's good.

Breakfast buffet consists of the usual bagels, bread (toaster available), fruit, coffee, juices, various spreads, an omelet of sorts, sausage, biscuits and gravy (kind of vile, actually), DIY waffles, hard boiled eggs (never figured how those got there). Copies of USA Today for those so inclined and desperate.

Nice swimming pool and hot tub.

Friendly staff.

Cost was around USD 102 per night.

Room Tip: If possible, get a room with an odd number, the view, like that of the one from the breakfast room, is beautiful.

I travel quite a bit and stay in scores of hotels every year. I stayed here for two nights last week and was pleasantly surprised. Buena Vista is a very small town, and to find a clean, quiet, property like this is rare.

Room Tip: No elevator and it is a two story hotel - FYI. Also, one side of the hotel faces the road, but has the more impressive view of the mountains. The other side is a bit quieter, but has a less impressive view of the hills near the river (east).
