We did the milk run in mid-June, so it was more of a “milkshake run,” but it was a perfectly acceptable flow for a 4yo and 7yo’s first whitewater trip. We got outfitted with PFDs and hopped in the van for a 5 minute trip to the drop-in point. Our guide, Swany, provided a very thorough safety overview before we got in. He and the rest of the folks we met were lovely, had a great sense of humor, and shared expansive knowledge of the natural history of the area. The kids had a blast. Most importantly to the times we live in, this outfitter took every precaution to prevent COVID19 spread, including providing gator masks and regularly disinfecting the vans, boats, and equipment. Two thumbs way up. A must-do on a trip to BV/Salida.

Great experience, we had a group of 10, only 5 had experience. The 2 guides were fantastic!!! Everyone had an incredible time, Safety was always first, so we were well prepared once we hit the water. From that point on it was fast and fun for everyone.
