This place use to be a great place to unwind, with good food, service and atmosphere. Over the years, this place is going downhill especially in service and to a lowering degree in cleanliness. If you looked in the kitchen you might think you were in an old Chinese restaurant. If you dine inside, be prepared to sweat while you eat. The ventilation is non-exisitent. Just look at the wait staff damp shirts. The guy who waited on us forgot one of our orders and made no apology except to tell us to "get over it". We use to eat and drink here on Friday nights during the summer for years but we are seeing a rapid decline and thanks to the last server, we won't be back.

We were served promptly and given water and chips and salsa. Our waitress had no problem doing seperate checks for 7 people. We ordered a variety of things on the menu and everyone was very pleased with what they had ordered! The atmosphere is very western/eclectic and very interesting. There wasnt anything bad about our experience at this restaurant like other reviewers had said. Good, tasty mexican food and we are a picky bunch! Will definitely stop again on our way to the hot springs!

It defies logic, really. 1) Lots of cars in the parking lot 2) their website claims "Best Mexican food in Colorado" 3) It has an authentic "clint eastwood" western curb appeal, and yet it is well...not good. Not good at all. Imagine your basic ground beef mixed with packet of generic taco seasoning, wrapped in a tortilla and sprinkled with cheddar (?!) cheese. That is the "authentic" Coyote Cantina burrito. and yep, there it sat, in my tummy, for several hours...something akin to a bowling ball. On the good side, the salsa that you start with is excellent, and the bar side looked like a great hangout spot. Overall, it rates a PASS (for the food side, at least).

My family and I stopped in and ate at this restaurant/bar while visiting Buena Vista. We loved the unique atmosphere. The food was great and the beer ice cold! The service was great and we had a very enjoyable dinner.
