Quaint restaurant featuring English fare and a great pub. Be sure to order a "flight" of whiskey - which is a sample of five different bottles from scotch to Irish to Canadian to bourbon. The great part is you can walk to your room afterward. Close to Denver Metro Airport for those who fly (KBJC) and they picked us up in a jaguar!

After having lived in England for a summer many years ago, this is the only place I have found that is authentic. Wonderful high tea but be prepared to make reservations ahead of time.(Regular tea available at anytime). Amazing lamb and lovely veg curry as well as traditions like fish & chips or bangers & mash.

This restaurant started out as a bed and breakfast serving nearby Ball Aerospace, but it has turned into a unique entrepreneurial adventure serving just about anyone.

It is advertised as a "tea room," and they do have tea, but you can also order beer and wine, including a number of imported beers and ales brewed in the British Isles. If you like, you can even sample some of the whiskeys the region is known for as well.

On the menu, you wouldn't expect to find a lot of vegetarian options, but, surprisingly enough, there are a couple, and one of them, the "Bubble and Squeak," is quite popular, even among carnivores. Bubble and Squeak is potatoes, onions, and cabbage in a Guiness reduction that is reminiscent of really fancy hash brown. It was very tasty, and only $6.00 at lunch. Many people like add the corned beef, which is the restaurant's forte, but I am vegetarian, and passed on that.

I also noticed that for $4.00, one can order a side of either "chips," or "crisps." Chips are what we Americans call "French Fries, " and crisps are what we Americans call "Potato Chips." Both are made in house, as is everything on the menu, (everything is made to order, even the sauces), and both are quite tasty, seasoned with malt vinegar.

I loved the ambiance, and the quirkiness of the place, but I have to admit that the acoustics weren't very good, and, in a place that small, it gets loud, fast, especially when a bunch of gals drop in for mid-afternoon tea and wine.

All in all, very good, and very different from the usual variety of restaurant one finds in the city. The view from atop that hill is worth the drive up there all by itself. If you are in the neighborhood, drive on over. You won't be disappointed.

We've never been to England, but the lunch fare seemed authentic. Shepherds Pie, delicious rice soup flavored with curry, and my favorite - Bubble and Squeak with corned beef. Would love to return next time we visit our son and daughter in law.
