My husband & I just returned from a week in Colorado. We stayed at Grand Timber Lodge in Breckenridge-nice resort,no complaints, except while checking in, they tried to get us to book a tour of a new timeshare-we firmly stated we'd contact them if we had time-never did. We started in Denver-just spent an afternoon seeing the Capitol & the 16th St mall-had lunch at Wazee Supper Club-great pizza. We went to Red Rocks, had dinner at The Fort-great food-waiter Thomas was very good. One day visited Rocky Mt National Park-took Central City Parkway-thanks to help from Trip Advisor-nice drive approx 3 hrs-the park is beautiful!! One day drove up Pikes Peak & saw Garden of the Gods. Drove Independence Pass to Aspen, saw Maroon Bells, went to Vail. Drove thru Glenwood Canyon-gorgeous, but didn't stay for the springs-husband felt too crowded public pool-not what he expected. Drove over Boreas Pass, spent a day In Breck-did Historical Tour-very interesting-our guide was Ken & his lovely assistant Casey Ann(his dog!).Awesome trip!!!!
