We had our wedding here in January 2011. We picked the Lodge & Spa because of the view from the outside deck. We were hoping for an outside wedding because of the view, but in January you can never tell for sure what the weather's gonna do in Colorado...all in all we ended up with a HUGE blizzard on our wedding day (record 3 ft of snowfall that day!) I was bummed to not have the ceremony outside, but we were easily able to move it inside in the reception hall! Rhonda was great to work with during all our planning (she allowed us many visits to the site) and her communication was always prompt and professional! We contacted Rhonda many times through both email and by phone.

Our pictures from our ceremony and reception turned out absolutely beautiful, the Lodge really photographs well! I think of this place as a pretty "authentic" and rustic mountain experience. Sure the rooms could use some updating, but if you're too good to stay somewhere that offers such a unique mountain experience, then take your snooty booty elsewhere! My husband and I stayed overnight on our wedding night. The room was large and clean, and we were happy to know that the Lodge is pet-friendly so our doggie was able to stay with us! I would recommend this place to my friends and family!

I recently made a reservation which requires full payment up front. Three months later, they continued to make charges to my credit card without my approval

There was a town tax increase which applied to all future guests. We ask for a credit card upon booking all reservations along with a deposit for the room and to ensure payment of any additional charges. Taxes are subject to change at anytime and we note this on our website. With the increase and all our reservations on the books we were not able to get to everyone to notify of this increase. The charges we took for the extra tax were validated and we have spoken to many guests on this that were very understanding. Customer service is very important to us and we will ensure that every guest is satisfied, as long as we are given the opportunity to assist with any issue!

We recently got married at the lodge and it was amazing. The staff, location, and amenties were perfect. All the wedding details are provided for you, giving you options of what route to take from the rooms, food, photographer, to hair salons. We had a group of 50 and some of us stayed over. The staff was helpful and very pleasant to be around. The general manager is professional and has a passion for her job and the location. We have lived in the area for 14 years and believe me when I say it is a perfect location for a wedding. If you are not in the wedding market it is a fabulous place to stay that is close to town and has amazing views.

The staff is great, the rooms are ok, pretty old, but beware of the liberal pet policy.
There were at least 3 different dogs in rooms near mine, the barking that began early in the morning was very loud and lasted for several hours until I complained.
Not sure why people would travel with their animals and expect other travelers on vacation to have to hear and deal with them.
I have news, your the only one that enjoys your animal.
Not somewhere I would stay in the future because of the obvious abundance of pets that are allowed to stay there.

The Lodge & Spa is a dog friendly property, however we do require our guest with pets to sign a pet policy with a contact number and that if there are any complaints we ask that they come and take care of their dog issue. It is very important to us that our guest's dogs are not disturbing our other guests. If another guest complains about a dog, we immediately contact the dog owner to resolve the issue as soon as it is brought to our attention.
Sincerely, Management

My daughters surprised me with a two-day stay at this lovely hotel for my birthday. The view from our room of the Ten Mile Range and the ski slopes was amazing. The hotel is located a short drive from town with easy access to all Breckenridge has to offer. A nice continental breakfast was provided on Sunday, but only coffee and a few pastries were offered on Monday. Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was no minifridge in the room, but we were allowed use of the walk-in fridge in the hotel kitchen. We enjoyed massages and facials at the spa, and we were all impressed by our masseuses--we each felt it was possibly the best spa experience we'd ever had. I've stayed at a couple other inns in Breckenridge, but this one is my new favorite.

Room Tip: It appears most rooms have a great view, but ask when booking to make sure. Some rooms have kitchene...

This place is truly amazing - we had a mountain view room and stayed for two nights and will go back in a heartbeat! The decor is amazing and rooms spacious and nice breakfast (like most hotels with waffles, cereal, danishes, toast, bagels etc) with more great views and place is also pet friendly!!!! Folks mention that bathrooms a litte outdated but just adds to the charm of the place we felt. Honestly can't go wrong here......
