Our reservations were over the Memorial Day weekend. My husband and I were expecting a queen bed and were happily surprised when we found a king sized bed in the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and pillows were plentiful. Free wifi was nice, if not slow. The furniture in the suite was also comfortable. To make things better, there was an electric fan on the dresser in the bedroom, which helped make it easier to breathe. The only thing that really disturbed us was the fact that only a door separated our suite from the one next door. That resulted in a lot of noise from the television and loud people talking coming through the door. Paid parking is worth it because it's covered.

I stayed here this past month for a group activity. I'm sure this place is "THE" place to be in the winter as the ski lifts are literally right outside your front door. In the summer, however, the place was pretty quiet. All the bars and restaurants in the hotel were closed and the hotel didn't seem to have any activities going on.

The up-side of this is that the pools, hot tubs and arcade were pretty much empty so the kids had the run of the house.

Our first impression was very positive. Check in went very smooth and quick and the "common" area was well appointed and inviting. We had a one bedroom Colorado Suite that had a living area, bedroom and a small kitchenette. The room was on the first floor which worked out really well as we brought our bikes and had quick in-quick out. Any kind of view, however was non-existent. Our room was close to the entrance but the walls seemed to keep all noise at bay, which was nice. The room itself, however, felt dated and, in contrast to the common building, should be renovated in the near future.

We did our cooking in the Kitchenette which had well-used appliances (under counter fridge, half size dishwasher, microwave, and two burner cook top). They were functional and everything worked but, again, they seemed to be nearing the end of their life span. The Kitchenette had everything you would need to cook for yourself. The room didn't seem to have good ventilation and smelled like bacon all day after our yummy self-made breakfast. As we were on the first floor we couldn't leave the door open for the place to air out so maybe it isn't an issue for all rooms.

One thing I really did like about about the property was the fact that they have a lot of gathering areas around the property. These areas had couches and chairs where you can congregate and hang out. I bet in the winter the common building is happening and a great place to hang out.

Breckenridge also has some good trails and roads for biking and this property is a convenient home base to ride in\out of.

There are other resorts in the mountains that make more of an effort to cater to summer activities (Mountain biking, hiking, rafting and such) so I would probably not make another summer trip to the property. The winter... another story. I'd certainly come here.

Room Tip: The first floor can be convenient, but get high up rooms for views.

Our Resort is in fact a Homeowners Association and each Unit is individually owned. No two are exactly alike. Owners are required to maintain a certain rating in order to be a part of the Rental Program and remodels to improve unit quality are going on.

From the closure of the ski lifts until early June is our DIM season when we prepare for our Summer guests and conferences. While we are doing carpet replacements and cleaning during this time each year the owners are working on remodeling their units.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we look forward to seeing you during the ski season.

I only had a standard room but it was very nice and it had everything I needed. The resort had after hour activities for both young and old and the restaurant was very good. I would easily stay there again.

Loved the convenience of ski in ski out. Hot tubs are great and easy access to Main Street and other ski resorts. Loved the huge tubs in the rooms. Will definitely stay again! Parking was free and staff were friendly

The One bedroom condo we rented was amazing with its own kitchen and lounge and jacuzi bath.. The site of the hotel to the lifts is the best and you can with a little planning get around quite easily.. The ski locker was at end of building and walked out 2 secs to chair lift. The people are really friendly and meet some lovely people on the chair lift from all over the states.. The queues are all controlled and move very quickly.. The only down side was the expense of the on site buffet breakfast 40 dollars for two of us.. We found shopping and cooking in condo a lot cheaper...but brilliant 1st experience of USA...

Room Tip: Go for condo and building 4.

We stayed at Beaver Run for our Spring Ski vacation April 2014. This was our second vacation at this resort and it was another great week. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and updated. The resort staff was always friendly and helpful. This is located at the base of Peak 9 and is a ski/in out resort which makes family skiing so nice. You just walk out the door and you are at the chair lift. This resort is also conveniently located within walking distance of downtown but also provides free shuttles. The hot tub and pool area are very nice and always clean. We hope to come to Beaver Run resort many more times! The perfect place for a Colorado ski vacation!

Room Tip: I prefer building 2 or 3 for proximity to pool/hot tub area.

Depending on which building your room is located in, you really cannot beat the easy access to the slopes. And Breckenridge also offers great public transportation around the town with a stop conveniently located just outside of the conference center. I was there in mid April, and the service was still top notch. Typically the ski season wears on employees, but this did not seem to be a problem during my stay.

It was a great ski season, with a steady amount of snow falling throughout the winter. We are fortunate to have been built at the base of Peak 9 and have a chair lift adjacent to the property. Thank you for your review and we look forward to having you back next season.
