“Had a great condo and great location for our conference”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Booked a two bedroom condo and lucked out with a very nice updated unit. Beds were great and comfortable and our distance to the meeting facilities was pretty close. I will say the property is VERY confusing to find your way around at first, but once you figure it out it's not too bad. The lift access is right at the base of the resort and main street is a short walk away. The property overall needs a face lift. The hallways and elevators very old and the carpet looked terrible in the hallways to our condo. Staff was friendly and alot of easy access to bars and eateries on site.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded room when booking

We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom townhouse in building 2. Six of us stayed in the unit. The beds in this place were sooooo comfortable! The townhouse had a full kitchen so we were able to save money by cooking meals for ourselves . (we went out one night - see review for Mother Loaded). Since it's ski in and ski out, we also went back to the room for lunch. One day we put our lunch in the ski locker and ate outside by the slopes. All of the rooms have a flat screen tv and our unit had a DVD player in it - we were able to rent a movie one night. We took advantage of the happy hours at the Base Nine bar in the hotel. The free shuttle (both the hotel's and the city's) made it easy to get around - we were 2 couples but only one car. No need to carry equipment all over the place - we had a complementary ski locker right next to the Base 9 chair lift. The staff was very helpful. Our hair dryer went out and housekeeping was there in minutes with a new one. I would definitely recommend Beaver Run to friends and family! From the townhouse unit, you could see the slopes and mountain on one side and the city and mountains on the other side. Great views!

Room Tip: Building 2 is convenient to the pool, restaurants, lockers and lobby.

"Beaver Run Resort has something for everyone. It's at the base of Peak 9, mere steps from the Beaver Run Super Chair with slope side locker facilities for your skis/boards. They have 2 pools and seven hot tubs, a game room, pool tables, indoor mini-golf, a full service spa, and a fitness facility. There is a deli/grocery store, Spencer's for sit-down breakfast and lunches as well as a nice steakhouse in the evenings, Copper Top bar for lunches and apres-ski and another bar, Base 9, near the lobby for the evening crowd. The food is delicious, service is provided quickly and with a smile. Don't let the older outside look of the buildings fool you, inside everything has been upgraded to the lobby, restaurants, pool and hot tub areas as well as the hallways and rooms. Overall our family had a great experience and plan to keep coming back to Beaver Run!

Every time we go it only gets better than before. We find Beaver Run a perfect and convenient ski hotel. There are continuos improvements to find each time we visit this great place to stay & ski. The ski in, ski out claim is the most appealing, especially building 4, and the accommodations seem to improve every year. Free shuttle around town, on site restaurants, pools & spas, kitchens in units, you name it, you will find it here. This year even the snow was spectacular! We have been skiing for over 40 years, and can't think of a better place to go....

Room Tip: Our preference has been the Colorado suite, ideal for couples. Next time we will reserve the new Sum...

Nice ski in, ski out, don't think you will find a better location in Breck. Reviews will vary as units are individually owned and kept so you may want to search reviews for the best room. The place is older, but they do seem to work at continued upgrades. Although I've been told parking isn't usually an issue, the weekend we were there all spaces were full (here and everywhere else, including paid parking at the ice rink)... you are gauranteed one space per unit but if you have additional cars you may want to prearrange that, we spent an hour driving around town looking for somewhere to park an extra vehicle overnight and then drive the other person back.
