We stopped on a whim after the Country Boy Mine tour. Great burgers, great apps, great sauces, great fries, great friendly staff....loved it!

We had a late lunch at Empire Burger and sat right down, no waiting. Our server was very friendly, restaurant was clean and fun atmosphere. We both had bacon burgers, and shared a side order of rings. We would have liked to try the other sides but we knew that was more than enough food for the 2 of us. The food came out really quick and was delicious. The ranch for the rings was yuuuummmmy! They had a lot of different options for sides and dipping sauces. The burgers were great! You can tell they used fresh ingredients.

Empire Burger is located on the main level of the small shopping center at the red light junction of Park and South Main Street. Park you car (legally) and enjoy.

Empire Burger does a nice business. There is a good beer and Margarita selection. Of course, we select the Fat Tire Amber Ale.

My wife finds the Portabella sandwich to be excellent. I like the Chicken Cobb salad.

We select patio dining with nice views and require and umbrella table.

The servers are young, friendly, and excellent.

Most burger places realize that “boomers” have outgrown burgers.

Our kids ask for these burgers by name so we often go here. I will tell you we find that they give you ample food, even on the kids menu, so be hungry. Today we decided to order the chili cheese fries and the brownie sundae to split between my husband, 8 year old son, and myself. That was perfect for us all and the sundae was awesome. Prices are average for Breckenridge as most food is over priced in my opinion. We love the patio and the parking is great.

We spent the week in Breckenridge and our first restaurant experience was at Empire Burger. We had spent the morning exploring the town and was ready for lunch. They have an outdoor dining area and that was what we were looking for. They have two entrances and we were confused on which one to enter. We politely asked one of the servers where we entered to request an outside table and were brashly told "Not here!" as he walked away. He could have offered instructions, directions or offered to send someone to help us, but didn't. We turned to leave but decided to try the other entrance when we we still met with a not so happy host who did finally seat us outside.
Our server was friendly, helpful and kept our glasses full. The food was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. But it was hard not to notice the staff walking around with frowns on their faces, snipping at each other and complaining about various things in front of the customers. Not good for business and not good customer service. The manager has to get a handle on the attitude of the staff, or else customers on vacation will find somewhere else to spend their food dollars where the staff is more customer service oriented.
