“Cheese fondue! The best after a great day skiing in Breckenridge”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

After a great day of skiing, you can enjoy some great food in a very friendly atmosphere in the Swiss Haven restaurant in Breckenridge. The staff is great and the quality of the food and especially the cheese fondue will top the best Swiss quality that you will find in Switzerland. Some people drink white wine and now people drink also red wine or hot tea, especially for the kids. By the way, the kids are crazy about the excellent chocolate fondue, and the parents are quite active during this part of the meal too ! Advice from Swiss people : have the fondue with potatoes instead of bread; it's just as good and easier to digest.
It's easy to find it's on main street.
What a great meal and evening we had !

“Better than the fondue we had in Switzerland”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

We just came back from dinner at the Swiss Haven in Breckenridge, Co. What an amazing experience. We've only had fondue once, and that was in Switzerland, a sad experience. We are in Breckenridge, Co. and were trying to decide where to have dinner. We walked by Swiss Haven and they were advertising a fondue dinner for two. My husband wanted to try it. I wasn't too excited because of the previous experience, but agreed to give it a try.
We had the best waiter, Devin, who explained fondue and how it's supposed to be done.
After an appetiser of the best French Onion Soup, we had cheese fondue and steak, with vegies fondue. It was fabulous. We spent a couple of hours eating and talking to Devin and Claudio, the manager.
The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. We will be here three more days and intend to go back again.

“Loved the Cheese Fondue with a bottle of wine”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

One late afternoon in August, our party of 3 stopped in for cocktails and appetizers. We already had dinner plans with friends later that evening at our condo so we could stay for dinner.

The cheese fondue was fabulous. We ordered the one the waiter recommended along with the bottle of wine he thought would go well with that particular fondue. We loved the wine and the fondue. We ended up ordering a 2nd pot of the same cheese fondue because it was sooooo good and the atmosphere made us feel so at home.

I can't wait to go back to Breckenridge for several reasons, but one of those reasons is we want to go to Swiss Haven for a full dinner. The menu had many inviting items and atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming.

“Amazing fondue!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

My husband and I recently dined at Swiss Haven and really liked it. We have dined at many restaurants in Breckenridge and this one definitely has a flavor all its own. It is currently very low season (September - week day evening) so getting a seat without a reservation was not a problem. We chose to each have a Stella Artois beer and then salads and one order of the Appelzeller cheese fondue with baguette and pears for dipping. It was just the right amount of food for the two of us. We were too full for dessert but plan to return for some chocolate fondue in the future.
