“Take it or leave it”

Nothing bad to say- but nothing good either. Ok Mexican food, standard and nothing special which was weird because it came highly recommended by the hotel. Little pricey for just fair food/service.

“Average and Expensive”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

The house margaritas are bland and leave you wondering if they forgot the tequila.

The food is average, but expensive; unless you do happy hour in the bar and get the dollar tacos and wing baskets.

The happy hour tacos & wings are about the only thing above average at Mi Casa.

“Great Mexican Restaurant!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

We loved the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Get the fresh guacamole, made at your table. It comes with delicious flour tortilla chips. The house margarita was great, as were the refried beans and trout.

“A true institution (mouth-watering for decades)”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I've been coming here for 25 years - first with my parents, and now with my own wife and son. Last week our family reunion ate dinner there twice. The themes are the same (endless chips and salsa which are freshly prepared and delicious, standard Tex-Mex fare weighing about 2 pounds per plate, and a beer/margarita list that runs the gamut and should satisfy even the pickiest drinkers). But the details have evolved - and that's a good thing. For instance, the rice accompanying most of the entrees (including my favorite Manuel's Burrito, which has been on the menu as long as I can remember) is white in color, not yellowish, and not as greasy. It almost tastes, um, healthy? And now there are several sampler plates, including delights such as chile rellenos and giant tamales (both of which are first-class).

When your mouth still waters after 25 years, you know you're on to something.

Hint: get there early or be prepared to wait for up to an hour - even on weeknights in summer.

Trivia: see if you can figure out the "secret" ingredient in the bright red salsa with veggie bits in it (the watery one).

“A favorite”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We ate here twice on our last visit. Great service. Great with kids. Menu had changed just a bit since last winter. Loved the jalapeno shrimp!
