We could not be happier with how close this condo was to everything. We stayed here for 6 nights and would have loved to stay longer!!! Only huge negative is they were doing construction outside EVERY morning and we could never sleep in. The sun was also very bright in the room bc of no curtains. The music from the bars didn't bother us as you couldn't hear or feel it in the bedroom.
Close to everything
Washer and dryer
Comfortable living area
No fans available
Balcony over bars so you can't really enjoy without feeling like people are watching you and like you're watching them
Needs Liquid hand soap
Needs curtains in bedroom to block sun
Perfect location. Close to everything. Within walking distance. Very modern, cozy, and comfortable. Great view overlooking Main St and the mountain. Definitely will be back.
Small bedroom with uncomfortable mattress, though. There was no control of the management company over workers spraying toxic lacquer in the lower unit. Came back from dinner first night, not knowing what the smell was from. Had to open all windows for hours. Luckily it was not too cold. Was told the HOA would be contacted, but that never happened. Next night, same smell starting occurring at 8:30 PM, I ran down stairs and found to workers with masks and full gear spraying lacquer with the door wide open. They were working on Sat night at 8:30 pm! They could tell I was quite upset and told them to stop spraying as it was toxic and could cause an explosion, Luckily, the units are all electric, no gas pilots. I know this was an anomaly, but apparently the mgnt company Summit had no control over that situation. They offered to move us 3 miles away, but we got this unit so we could walk to everything,
This condo is very centrally located just one block off Main Street behind Cima Mall and across street from Main Street Station. Lots of dining options close by. If you like to shop, this is also a great location.
Free shuttle service to the slopes is available just down the street on Main Street, BUT the closest stop (Orange) takes you along the scenic route down Main Street to City Market and then to the Gondola after that. A little inconvenient. There is another stop further up Main/Boreas Road past Ridge Street. You can catch the bus to Peak 9 from there. Not sure how far - we were not that keen in going exploring in ski boots. You can also walk across the street and past Maggie Pond to get onto Quicksilver Lift. This is only a reasonable option if you are a beginner, because no one else wants to ride Quicksilver.
Returning at the end of the ski day, Blue route shuttle bus will take you from the base of Peak 9 to Main Street Station -short walk from there.
Very comfortable unit for 2 people - furnishings are nice and the kitchen is well equipped. Might be a little cozy for a group of 4.
Previous reviews had mentioned the noise at night - didn't notice it the first few nights - and then we hit the weekend!! Nearby bars stay open past 1:30 - and you can definitely hear them. It really only seems to be an issue on the weekends.
We did like the unit and would recommend it to those who want to be close to town. Just bring earplugs for the weekend!
We had a great stay at Breckenridge. The bed was very comfortable, the location was perfect, the kitchen was great. We had a couple visitors who said the pull out couch was very comfortable as well. The only criticism that I have is that the firewood storage area wasn't very well stocked. There were only a few pieces of wood and they were frozen to the floor in the storage area, which made them wet and not easily burn able. That was a minor issue though, everything else about it was great.
