“Where the locals go!!!”
Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

Local BBQ fare served in a small cozy atmosphere. My wife had a shimp "Moe" boy which was excellent. The meal came with the sandwich, two sides and a drink for $10 --what a deal!!! After being told they were out of brisket (which they only smoke on Tuesdays) I settled for the pulled pork platter. Again, with two sides and a drink for $10 -----the pork was excellent and after I ordered they said it was the best meat they served as the owners and cooks were all from Alabama and Georgia, and pork is the king of BBQ in the South. Many local all drinking and eating and enjoying the live music (the two singer dudes) that plays at Moe's every Tuesday. Do not know about music on the other nights. Overall, a very positive BBQ experience in a resort town at reasonable prices.

“Over salted Ribs, but decent pulled pork”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Since it was a snowy night we decided to eat in. We ordered a rib platter & pulled pork platter. The ribs were fatty and the dry rub way too salty. However they cooked correctly meaning they did not fall off the bone. The pulled pork was good and the accompanying dipping sauce had a nice tang. For sides we ordered the cole slaw that had a nice jalapena flavor, BBQ beans that were cooked correctly and a creamy potato salad. A good BBQ place.

“a great find”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We heard about Moe's from other guests on the resort shuttle. We were so glad we tried it. It's a casual place - as you would expect for a rib joint in a ski town. The ribs were tasty - tender, good flavor and meaty.
I wish I had more now!

“Not very good”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Ordered a platter with pulled pork and two sides, plus a large side of ribs to go. The pork was decent, BBQ sauce was fair however, the ribs were extremely dry nearly the texture of jerky. We love BBQ and have tried many excellent rib joints, I would place this one in the bottom third.

“Pleasant Surprise”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

This is a great little place for some down South BBQ that will make your mouth water. The Brisket was one of the best I have ever tasted ... and I am from the South. The Cole Slaw is magical. The Baked Beans were heavenly. Each side we tasted (Baked Apples, Baked Zucchini, Mac'n Cheese) was amazing.

The food is AMAZING and the restaurant is very quaint with a a rustic charm reflecting the historical mining days of Breckenridge. It felt like we stepped back into time.

We travel to Breck often so we will be returning often. This is a great stop for some hot food on a cold day or evening. BTW ... the BBQ sauces are kept in a warmer ... yummy.

While I highly recommend this restaurant, it did become a bit loud with the music and Televisions running in the background. I personally prefer less TV and more ambiance. But the food was so good I didn't really mind.
