We recently went on a road trip through Colorado, booking accommodation as we went. We booked into the Fireside Inn the day before we arrived and were immediately impressed. Everything; from the initial telephone conversation to leaving three days later was a breeze. The Inn is really cosy, breakfasts are delicious and the hosts Niki and Andy were welcoming and helpful. Would not hesitate to return if we are ever in the area.

I give this place 3 stars because the owner wouldn't get up and make coffee for the 9 of us that were up at 6:30-7am...
Come on Andy, put a pot out and let us turn it on. Don't be cheap,.
Nine of us... all adults, ready for coffee, plotting our day, and NO coffee.....
NO COFFEE!!!!!!!!!

Put a pot out, let turn it on and you would rank 5 stars from this traveler.
I will be back to the Rockies, but I will not stay here again...
I can't believe that all of us had to get dressed and go hunt for morning coffee...
PLEASE!

My pillow was wonderful.
My bed mattress was wonderful.
No top sheet.
Warm comforter.. Too warm for September.
Good rules.
Clean place.
Ample parking.
NO COFFEE........

Get a coffee pot, put it out so that guests can fill it, turn it on and begin the morning and you will get 5 stars from me.
Andy,.... We're not all British... We are Americans and we require morning coffee.
I have photos, but Trip Advisor won't let me post them.....

Continental Breakfast (all carbohydrates) $6.00
Breakfast with eggs and a little meat $12.00 <<<<<< wayyyyyyyy too expensive.

Room Tip: No coffee for early risers!!!!!!!

Thank you for your review. We found it a bit puzzling since we had not had a group of 9 stay with us nor ask for coffee. We would have provided a coffee machine if requested.

I stayed at the Fireside Inn in the dormitories for 4 nights and it felt like another home to me. The staff was very friendly and personal, they knew me by name and always asked how my day was and answered any questions I had very clearly. The interior gives off a cozy, relaxed, olde mountain cabin vibe along with many quirky and interesting decorations in the common room. For guests staying in the dormitories they provided very clean shared bathrooms with showers, a clean towel, an eating area with a refrigerator and microwave along with utensils and fresh cold drinking water. There was free wi-fi and access to a computer as well as cable tv and board games for all guests. The bunks were cozy and comfortable with curtains for privacy and pillows, blankets, and a reading light were accommodated on each bed. The rooms were cleaned daily and had lockers to store your belongings. All the guests that shared space with me were friendly and sociable and there was not even the slightest hint of shadiness among them. It was a relaxing place to rest after a long day of activities in the surrounding areas. Breakfast was a bit pricey for those staying in the hostel part ($12, it comes free with the B&B rooms) but everyone had great things to say about it. The location is two blocks from the main part of town - foot steps away from a number of restaurants or galleries. Overall, I highly recommend staying here whether you're just passing through for a night or staying a whole week! This family owned B&B/hostel is something for everyone and one of the many treasures Breckenridge has to offer.

My sister and I stayed in the Cabin room for just one night in August 2012. We loved it and will definitely stay here again if we ever return to Breckenridge. Our room was just a tiny room with a set of bunk beds, but the beds were comfortable and I loved the comforter so much that I want to get one just like it! Everything was neat and orderly in the B&B, and the decorations were quirky but endearing (lots of gnomes in the front yard... haha). Many of the people who were staying at the hostel gathered in the living room area at night to watch the Olympics. It was a lot of fun getting to know other travelers; a much better experience than the typical hotel/motel trip where you keep to yourself. We really felt like the owners welcomed us all into their home. Great location, too! We walked everywhere. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

This place is truly unique. The owners take care of their guests like family and I felt welcomed into their home when I visited last week for 3 nights. I injured my knee hiking and Niki made sure to ask me every day how I was feeling. She even made sure I iced it properly (she used to be a trainer of some type and yoga instructor). The breakfast was also very very good. Very generous portions and home cooked. I estimate it would cost a couple 25 dollars to have a similar meal in a restaurant. You can pick a different meal daily. The shared bathroom I used was immaculate as was my room. It is 2 blocks from downtown. Don't miss this place. I will be taking my wife back the next time we are in Breckenridge since I was alone on this trip.
