My wife and I were somewhat disappointed by this experience. The reservation process was frustrating. They take your name and CC number but don't send a confirmation and ask you to call back the day before to reconfirm. When we did, they had lost our information and it took 4-5 calls and voicemails throughout the day until they finally found our information. They should investigate getting a professional reservation system that provides confirmation emails and locks it in when you make your "reservation" as this was a very frustrating experience.
The website made it appear that it was a sleigh ride to and from a remote dining destination that was a re-creation of an old mining camp. We were expecting to emerge from the forest to a magical place that transported us back in time. In reality, it is a 20 minute ride through a dark forest with little to see and all we did was make a big loop on snowmobile trails and returned to the take off point and had to pass through the storage yard for the snow mobile rental facility to get to the dining facility. This really destroyed the illusion of a sleigh ride to an old mining camp. At the end of the evening, you have to walk back to your car through the snow and snowmobile storage lot instead of taking the sleigh again.
The food was average - steak was good but the corn was overcooked and mushy and the beans tasted like out-of-the-can pork and beans. The salad was fresh and the pie was also good but overall the food was quite average. On the positive side, the dance hall girl entertainer was very good and gave a good historical overview of the life and times in the old mining camps. Overall, this was not the romantic and magical adventure we thought we had signed up for.
