This place has become our signature stop after a day of winter sportin'.

They have a rotating selection of 8 or so soups, so the menu is always fresh. I'd recommend checking their website as it lists their daily selection, ahead of time. Their accompanying breads are fresh and homemade, and the variety is great.

The menu is also very reasonable. We can pick up two soups, breads, and a couple cookies for desserts for $20. A rarity for Breckenridge.

simple soup stand with a couple of tables located next to City Market serving excellent soups and bread. the menu of eight soups is different every day and it offers something for everyone; meat eaters, vegetarians and the gluten sensitive.
too bad the place closes at 6:00.

This place is easy to find right next to City Market. It's a small place with only 2 tables, so there are a lot of take out customer's. The soups are made fresh and the menu changes daily. Delicious! The serve huge sandwiches and salads, too. We have gone twice this week and brought take out to the condo for the rest of the week. The staff are so hospitable. We are definitely coming back.

On a snowy day in Breckenridge, we thought this would be a great stop. We were hoping to eat inside, but they only have 3 counter seats. This was unfortunate as the goal of soup is to warm up - so to go outside in the cold, order, then go back outside to eat at home while your soup is getting cold really makes no sense.

The salad is limited and pre-tossed, which meant a soggy salad for me. The greek salad is a better choice.

Our family had the soup, salad, and bread. The Bread did not seem fresh.

For soup we tried, the chili, corn chowder, and loaded potato soup.
The corn chowder was not like a chowder - more of a corn tortilla style soup.

I think the atmosphere made this place less appealing - and the food was average.

Yes, our seating is very limited operating out of 800 sq feet. Mostly we are an affordable alternative to full service restaurants in Breck getting the customer in and out. Our lettuce salads are tossed to order for freshness and we are always happy to accomadate light dressing or no croutons, etc. Our bread is baked fresh daily and only sold on the day it is made. We use a recipe with about 5 ingredients total so no preservatives. It's a crusty European style bread and at 9600 ft it can be a challenge to keep is soft all day. The corn chowder on Saturday Feb 15th was a "Santa Fe Chicken & Corn Chowder" so yes it was similair to a chicken tortilla soup in flavor profile. Check out our website Soupzon.net for our daily menu posting and have a great day in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado!

We stumbled on this great find! There were 8 soup options; all of them looked delicious. The folks there a generous with samples, and we tried few before deciding on final choices. The Elk Stroganoff, Hungarian Goulash, and Caribbean Lentil were outstanding and received rave reviews from our family. There are only 5 seats so do not plan to eat in and there is no good place to take it outside... so plan to stand or take it with you. The bread all looked great, unfortunately cheese was not listed on the posted description so I ended up with a whole wheat rosemary focaccia topped with cheese I did not know was going to be there... and did not really want... this was the only drawback to our experience there. If you are running errands (City Market, beer/wine run, ski rental) this is a great stop!
