I did a little bit of research before my trip to Breckenridge and found that Blue River Sports offered the most convenience for the best price for ski rentals. Rentals through the mountain were almost double the price and required the rentals be returned by 4 or 5pm. Blue River Sports allowed us to pick up our rentals the night before and return them the following morning since we planned to night ski at Keystone. The staff here was also very friendly and really took their time to fit our skis and explain everything to us. We never felt rushed and really appreciated the time the staff took to make sure our skis were comfortable and right for the type of skiers we are. Highly recommend!!

Thank you for the nice review! We encourage everyone to shop around before they book their ski rentals. The all-in-one bookings can cost quite a bit more. We tend to be 2-3 times cheaper than some shops. And we do stay open until 9pm during the ski season. I'm glad we were able to get you equipped in gear you were happy with. Shop is super efficient and super friendly. Located right across the street from a good beginner ski area this place should be considered for your trip.

This is our first time skiing out in Colorado. We did our due diligence and comparison shopped online at many ski rental shops in the area. This place gave us the best deals and amazing customer service.
PROS:
. Friendly and efficient service for setup equipment and even for some adjustments to our equipment during the week
. Reasonable prices for ski rentals
. Reserve your ski equipment online for an even greater discount!
. Free parking available
CONS:
. Walk to the lift (Peak 9) is across the street and block away. This can seem far especially trying to cross the street.

I explored a few options for rental gear and am very happy I chose Blue River. The staff were fantastic, all six of us were quickly fitted and comfortable with our gear. One son got a snowboard, and one daughter got more advanced equipment, while the rest of us had basic level 2 stuff which was entirely fine. Being able to store skis there (right across from base of Peak 9) was very convenient, and they were always quick to check and retrieve them.

There are plenty of places to rent gear. We choose here. The owners and staff are very friendly and efficient. They are about 200 yards from the ski lift. Which seems close but when your low lander kids are huffing and puffing on the walk over in ski boots it might as well be miles. If only they had a golf cart/gator to wisk you over there... If only...
