Best ski rental place I've been to in 25 years of skiing. Efficient, caring and an excellent product. They were so concerned each of the 4 times I went in there. Switched this year at Breckinridge when Breck sports (or the one at the base of peak 8) upped their prices again and the service was always so poor, unconcerned and like a cattle call. Blue River is probably locally owned and each employee was wonderful. It was also about 30-40% cheaper. Possibly the highlight of the trip as the slopes were packed.
i rented demo package skis. They made sure I got the right equipment for the type of skiing I was looking to do. I felt very comfortable with the process. The staff is friendly and make you feel like you are the only person they will see all day. I will always rent from them when going to Breck.
No matter what your looking for, this is the place to go for Snowboarding equipment and clothing. The staff knows what they are talking about, the demo program is one of the best, where you can ride any number of boards before you buy.
They also have a good selection of accessories, such as gloves, goggles, and other gear.
Can't say enough about Blue River Sports, can't wait to get back there again this year.
Rented bikes and took the shuttle up to Vail Pass. Biked back down to Frisco. The bike ride was absolutely beautiful. Stunning view of the mountains. Be sure to stop at the rock garden near the end - very cool rock sculptures. Staff at Blue Wave friendly and helpful.
This was our first time to Breck and weren't sure where to start. I found Blue River Sports on Trip Advisor and went with it. From the minute we walked in, I was happy. They were friendly, prompt, and gave good advice. We weren't sure where to start on the mountain for skiing, and they helped us out with that too. The equipment was freshly tuned, fit well, in good condition, and it was half the price we were expecting to pay elsewhere!
Blue River came highly recommended by our lodge. The staff were rushed, not overly friendly, and they had zero flexibility on the return policy. We asked if we could return by 10am and not be charged and they said no even though we had rented late (3pm) on the first day, stating that they don't record the rental pickup time.
If you're not in the immediate area rent elsewhere, it's not worth the hassle to return ski gear to them.
Would recommend them if you're staying at the base of peak 9, otherwise rent based on location and gear preference; this place is nothing special.
