I have going to blue river for years. They have the best gear and the most friendly staff. They better prices than the ski area and even better if you reserve online. They do sell out during busy holiday time soni highly recommend reserving before you get there.

Just returned from a ski trip to Breckenridge. Our group rented skis, ski boots, & poles from Blue River Sports. They were right across the street from the Village at Breckenridge (where we stayed)-super convenient! They had plenty of staff so that we were able to get us in and out of there quickly. The staff was super knowledgable about the equipment (I'm a beginner and they suggested a shorter ski for me), how the boots should fit (they'll adjust the boots for you at any time), and all of the equipment looked brand new and worked out great.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will use again next time!!

Our rental experience was super with Blue River! We rented skis, boots and helmets and it was a fast and easy process. We reserved online, showed up the morning of my lesson and they had us in and out in no time. My niece decided to snowboard on day 3 of our trip and they swapped out her equipment at no charge. A really nice group of people, like everyone we met in Breck.

Our family rented a condo at the Peak 9 area, so this location was very convenient to us. It is at the bottom of Peak 9, right across the street from the Village at Breckenridge, which houses The Maggie and ski school. If you reserve beforehand on the internet for $10/person deposit, you will get an additional 10% off their already lower-than-everyone-else rates. The condo folks were pushing another company, but this place turned out to be great.

The setup was excellent -- you walk in, give your info (if not already reserved), then get a helmet (kids), go to the next station to get fitted for a boot and poles, then go to another station for bindings. It was very fast, with about 4 customers being served at a time at each station.

We liked that they were open early and late, so it was easy to pick up and drop off. We also greatly appreciated that they gave us a refund twice when we had a couple of skiers get sick on different days!

FYI, all kids in ski school must have a helmet, and this is WAY cheaper than renting at the ski school. Also, they do not offer goggle or ski clothes rentals (some places do), so be sure to buy those beforehand.

They also give you ski boot holders to use for free, which was a added plus for us (we have always bought ours in the past).

All-in-all, highly recommend. My only request would be that they start offering drop-off service at your condo like some of the other places do (though they couldn't stay the cheapest that way, right?).

This place is great! My group of 11 did not reserve in advance but these guys were able to accommodate all of us and have us ready within the hour. Staffs were professional and have sense of humor. Highly recommend! Another great thing is that the store is across from the lifts.
