Room was comfortable and well appointed. Noise from adjoining room was noticable at night, the neighbor had a bad head cold. Lobby and ammenities were very good. Restaurant and food quality very good how ever expensive. Hotel Staff was exceptionally polite and freindly, all levels. Convenient location, all in all had a pleasant stay.

Thank you for reviewing your trip to the DoubleTree in Breckenridge. I have been working with my engineering team to increase the insulation between adjoining rooms and reduce the noise, but am glad that you enjoyed the rest of your stay and interacting with the team members. We hope to see you again soon!

I read some negative comments about this hotel so i was worried about what to expect. But they did help us navigate the hotel with its pros and cons. If you know what to expect, you will have an excellent experience.

Since there was just two of us, and we didn't have a lot of people with us, staying on the 10th floor was worth it. Yes, you have to take two elevators, but it's not that far and worth it because there are only 6 rooms on the top floors, which really cuts down on the hallway noise. Use a luggage cart to get your room. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. There is a box fan in the rooms that we also used throughout the night for added noise control. Use the humidifier in your room, several people said theirs didn't work, but i have one like that at home and if it shuts off, you have to empty the base of the water once a day. There is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave. We brought bottled water, but the Breckenridge water is very clean and drinkable. Ask for a mountain view.

Buy your lift tickets online more than a week prior to your trip for a discount. I missed that deadline and bought our lift tickets from the concierge. They are the same price as they are at the ticket booth on the mountain.

Rent your skis and equipment from the rental store downstairs in the hotel. Set an appointment online before you arrive. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgable. My ski boots were very warm and comfortable. You can switch to snowboarding equipment at any time. If you have problems with your skis on the mountain you can go to any of their stores on the mountain to get it fixed. Get the $3 insurance, just in case.

This all helped us skip long lines trying to get our ski stuff. We were all taken care of without having to leave the hotel.

Use the ski valet. They will take your skis out to the snow for you and when you end your day leave them by the Double Tree Ski Valet sign. The walk across the small parking lot to get to the ski area is short and easily done in ski boots. People were complaining about this on reviews, but if you know what to expect, it's fine.

The hotel has s'mores and hot chocolate everyday at 4:00 on the restaurant balcony.

I don't smoke but if you do, the 10th floor has a door that goes out onto a street, since the hotel is built into the mountain.

Room service was on time every time. Do NOT order the blueberry smoothie. The waffles and the french toast were good.

The $20.00 resort fee includes the valet parking. Use it. The shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go for free and just call the hotel and they will come pick you up so you never have to get your car out. Parking is very limited throughout town anyway.

Room Tip: Top 3 floors only have 6 rooms on them, a lot less hallway noise. The elevator wasn't a problem...

The hotel is directly across the street from the ski trail so you can walk across the street and begin skiing - the staff will even carry your skis both ways. The hotel sells ski tickets so you can avoid what can be quite a long line to buy tickets. The room was quite large. Room service was prompt, the food was good and there was a great selection of beers available. The hotel also has a ski shop with rental counter and the skis can be picked up or returned at other locations. There is a free shuttle that runs into town. There are three hot tubs outside so they don't get too crowded. The hotel allowed us to use the showers and bathroom after we had checked out.

This hotel was wonderful! We loved the location, ease of getting around shuttle service around town. The only down side are the elevator waits. There are only 2 and they are at the ends of each tower. (This hotel is 50 years old so that is the reason.). Overall, we loved it! Clean rooms and helpful staff.

Spacious rooms, great staff, nice amenities including the valet parking and ski service. Lobby under construction, but dust kept under control. Decent breakfast, very good coffee. Fine location close to town, and just across parking lot to slopes.

As a guest we felt we were intruding on the staff. Given incorrect information re the hotel itself (thats really bad) Sold ski ticket by a staff member at discount which was already used - got taken for $50.00 - Breakfast was so nasty you could use the croissants for hockey pucks. DONT EVER STAY HERE

We stayed for a week at the end of February and have no complaints. We had a large corner room on the 6th floor so we only had to use one elevator which usually wasn't crowded at all (and I'm pretty sure the hotel was full). Every morning we went down for the Hilton Honors complimentary breakfast (check for the eligibility level) and while not a big hot breakfast, what was there was enough to get us going in the morning and ready to hit the slopes. Hot items were eggs and oatmeal (there were almonds, cranberries, brown sugar and more to add to the oatmeal). Also available was cereal, yogurt, some type of danish or bread (could have been fresher) fresh fruit and lots of juice and coffee. I tend to not complain when something is free, so it worked for us.

Staff was very pleasant and friendly; especially the bell/valet staff. Some folks have complained about having to wait for the shuttle ("Cookie Van") but really, are you expecting a personal shuttle to be there just for you??!! The wait never seemed very long and the valet staff usually would chat with you to pass the time. A couple of times the staff thought the shuttle was taking too long and pulled out an Excursion to take us where we wanted to go. Ski valet worked well for us too although I did witness some guests that apparently had to wait quite a while for their skis in the morning.

As others have mentioned, the location is great (well, at least to us)! You walk out the front door, cross the street, cross a small parking lot and put your skis on - Easy Peasy!

Our room was large and very comfortable. Nice sized chest of drawers to put clothes in (sturdy, deep drawers). When we first went in the room it seemed quite dark, especially the bathroom. We called the front desk and they hooked us up with facilities. One of the facilities engineers came up and it just so happened (it might be a green initiative) that two of the bathroom lights were out (one on each side of the mirror). Anyway, he put new bulbs in and it made a world of difference. The lighting in the room isn't great, but I find that's usually the case with hotel rooms.

No problems with housekeeping, we were there for vacation, not to nitpick about some dust and crumbs on the floor (however, I will say that if I had a baby or toddler in the room I would have insisted on better cleaning).

The hot tubs were a disappointment. Hopefully something is in the works to get them upgraded. The little area they are in is not welcoming in the least and the hot tubs themselves look very old and as if paint might peel off on you. But they did work :-)

I would recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a true "resort" and to be catered to I would choose someplace else. If you're looking for clean, comfortable accommodations on the slopes with friendly, responsive staff and good proximity to the town stay here.
