Very interesting, tour guide was knowledgeable, neat mining facts! I enjoyed the paning for gold at the end. However, it would be more enjoyable in warmer weather.

So interesting to be underground in a real working gold mine. make sure the electricity is working. we had a power outage and had to use flashlights and headlamps to get out. very authentic.

Visit a mine and learn about the mining process. Near town. Excellent tour guide, who really knew his stuff. Had private tour.

How fun was this place?? Betsy was a delight and our tour guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He gave us a real glimpse into the past of what life was like back in the day. He showed us how to pan for gold and I actually found a piece. Sure it's only as small as a period on a newspaper, but I found GOLD!!!! The miniature donkeys were just as cute as could be too!! This would be a great place to bring our grandsons!!!

Went on the mine tour with 2 friends in September, it was a lot of fun! You go inside the mine about 1,000 feet and stop along the way to learn more about what was going on inside the mine. Afterwards you get to pan for gold. Even though no one in my group found any, it was still a lot of fun to try and find some. Our guide was fantastic and we had fun listening to his stories. It is a little chilly inside the mine, so make sure to bring a jacket/sweater. There are also burros, a kitty and a dog walking around so you get to pet those as well. I would recommend this for all ages!
