This was one of the worst hotels Ive stayed in. Please beware travelers to stay away from the Holiday Inn Express in Boulder. The rooms were filthy (sinks and tub dirty), I found a dead roach in the bed and the assistant general manager was horrendously obnoxious. They try to make one feel welcome with their homemade cookies and continental breakfast, but the assistant general manager (and lesser extent the general manager) need to have a much more civil attitude towards their guests, and they need to do a better job at cleaning the rooms. Finding a roach in ones bed is hardly conducive to a good night's sleep. They are among the less expensive hotels in the area, but if you want to enjoy a beautiful part of Colorado, stay elsewhere !!

After a terrible experience at the Best Western Boudler Inn, my party of 3 adults moved to this hotel for the last night of a trip for a family wedding over Labor Day weekend. The service was efficient and friendly, the room was immaculately clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I have no idea how old this hotel is, but the rooms and furnishings look like new. The rate was fair for a holiday weekend - $104, only $10 more than the Best Western. The location looks less than ideal on a map, but it's only about a 10-15 minute drive from Pearl Street. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly service at a decent price, this is the place to stay. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Boulder in the future.

Hotel located about 2 miles from pearl st mall area. Pretty easy to get anywhere quickly.

We stayed in a suite, essentially 2 rooms. one has bed, desk dresser, tv. full bath and closet. other room has couch, chair, kitchen type table with 2 chairs, refrig, micro, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sink, full bath, closet and tv also.

Hotel is fairly new, very clean, desk people were helpful, free bottled water, cookies. breakfast somewhat better than usual. had fresh fruit, bananas, apples and oranges. also one hot dish. bacon and eggs one day. plus the usual cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc.

also computer in lobby for guests to access e-mail. pool, guest laundry etc.

good value for the money I think especially in boulder.

I've been going to school in Boulder (5 day installments) and stayed all over the place for the last two years. Like most university towns the hotels/motels see a lot of traffic and many of the more centally located places are just run down. Stale smelling, old carpets etc. The Holiday Inn express is just a wee bit north but very worth it. It's new, well taken care of and geared toward the biz traveller. Pretty standard stuff but everything is proper and in order. I would reccomend this heads and tails above some of the more centrally located places on arapahoe and 28th. You know what to expect and know that it's going to work - and all of your clothes still smell normal when you return home.

I stayed at HIE Boulder for 3 nights during CU graduation. It was the last available hotel in Boulder, and I was pleasantly surprised with the clean large rooms(get a King suite w/ kitchenette), ample b'fast, and popcorn and cookies in the afternoon. I have stayed at the Quality Inn many times, but will switch to this inn now. It's only a short easy drive 7 minutes from center of Boulder(and very little traffic, as it's a residential area). All hotels double prices during graduation week, so although it wasn't cheap($161 AAA rate), during the rest of the year it will be a bargain. If you are looking for very clean modern rooms w/ conveniences of home(including ironing board/iron),try this very nice Holiday Inn.Also very fine and safe for a single woman.
