I have been here a few times, and must say that with all of this place's charms...there is something consistently disappointing about the quality of service.
That said, here are some of the things I like about this place: It is is locally owned, and is in a nice location. The coffee drinks are good, and I am happy with the herbal tea selection. The baristas create beautiful art in the foam of a cappuccino. It is large, and usually full of people on wi fi. I like the lay-out, and aesthetic of the place in general. I also appreciate that they support local musicians. They also use a paperless payment method, where you can have your receipt texted or emailed instead of printed.
What I don't like about it is the quality of service when ordering. The management and staff seem cold when taking an order, and I have never received a warm and genuine smile. It is actually amusing how pretentious the service can be. I think the "vibe" there can be a little odd, so perhaps it creates a steely exterior for the counter folks? Who knows? In any case, the service needs improvement.
