Decent, low cost, well located spot. Staff really accommodating. Free bikes to ride. AC didn't work well but open windows did the trick. Easy walk to Pearl Street. Great Thai Restaurant next door. Near UC Boulder.

I stay here when I'm in Boulder because it fits the tight budget. Considering the price I'm satisfied. They have a simple, ample breakfast and location is good. A special supermarket is across the street and you can walk to the main tourist street. They even have bikes for you which is a nice offer. Biggest negative for me is the motel smell. I don't like it. Hopefully they will proceed with renovations. New carpeting and paint will take care of the problem. Helpful staff. Common computer to print out boarding passes. Pool, but I'm not there during the open months. Request 2nd floor room so you don't hear upstairs guests walking. Street noise worse up front.

This is a tired property, past due for updating. While the beds were reasonably comfortable, there were zero amenities (no microwave or refrigerator) and the toilet took several flushes to work. The person in the room next to ours played the radio loud all night. The price seemed high for 2 double beds - for a third that I could have stayed in a Motel 6 a bit outside Boulder. The breakfast was basic. There was an iMac in the office I was able to use to print some directions on a monochrome laser printer, which was handy. Had I not been so tired, I would have looked elsewhere.

Our stay was wonderful. Location of the Inn is great, parks, restaurants, shops all within walking distance. I would stay here again. Free wifi and the Alfalfa's store right across the street is great to pick up some great CO beers and snacks.

Great location, two blocks from Pearl Street and with a very nice supermarket on the side of the street.
The hotel is, however, a bit old and expensive for what it offers in terms of room quality and amenities.
Facing the Boulevard, the University Inn is a bit noisy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street.

The price was excellent, as well as the location. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere in downtown boulder. Central Park is right behind the building, and "The Hill" is right up the street. Also close to downtown Pearl Street. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and I loved the walk-in closet. The floors are a little noisy, so I recommend staying on the 2nd floor if you get the option, but other than that I have absolutely no complaints. Great stay here.

This is a cheap motel - and you get what you pay for! I asked for a non-smoking room. That is what was on the door. In spite of this, the room reeked of stale smoke. By the time I mentioned this, I had already settled in for the night after a long flight. The Alfalfa's store across the street sold candles and air freshener. When I did say something, the response was "Yeah, we billed the former occupant for the smoke". I would be curious if TraveltoCO found the same response! Other than this, the place was ok. The bed was of average quality, the fixtures rather old and the continental breakfast was very spartan. However, the location was very good, the room was rather quiet (unless the college kids were out!) and reportedly the motel has plans to renovate in the near future (but that is what was reported in other posts and it hasn't happened yet!). The staff were ok. Basically if you want a cheap place to spend the night and don't want/need/expect any amenities, this will do. Barely.

Room Tip: Insist on seeing the room before you pay - you may wish to move.
