I'm normally a boutique hotel person. Now I'm a convert, at least when I'm in Boulder. Coming 'home' at night to Residence Inn, after working hard all day, was so relaxing and comfortable. First time in Boulder, after many visits, I've felt that way.
A relaxing living room area, a kitchen in which I could cook a healthy meal, a comfortable bed...and a wonderfully welcoming staff and atmosphere. (Every time I entered the registration area, the staff would cheerfully jump up from their desks to see what they could do to help. In the dining room, the attendant smiled, kept things clean, and generally made the morning a little better. Oh, and I kind of like the constantly available cookies, occasional rice krispies treats (!), generous breakfasts...all for less than I paid for a mediocre room downtown.
This is not a boutique hotel. They do not have cool interior design. They have everything it takes to make for a comfortable stay for a tired consultant who isn't crazy about being on the road! And, I suppose, for a family that's happy to be on the road!More
