“Poor facilities/ over priced”
Reviewed July 16, 2010

Price does not warrant the facilities. Had to park in a shopping center and walk to
the hotel due to inadequate parking. No wireless internet. Pool area was very trashy.

I am not that picky, but my daughter and I went to swim in their pool and the water was nasty. The bathroom in our room was in very poor shape. The beds were comfortable. The hotel wasn't worth the money $130 a night, in my opinion.

I stayed in this hotel, as it was part of a wedding block. The hotel itself is nice and the outside spaces are gorgeous. The room even looks nice from first glance. My main issue was with the fact that there was no fitted sheet on the bed. Gross. They make the bed with a flat sheet on the bottom, leaving exposed mattress at the end, which your feet touch when you sleep. YUCK.

We called to complain about this and were told the hotel does not have fitted sheets. They did bring up another flat sheet to layer over the first, but we had to re-make the bed ourselves. The next two days, the bed was made again with exposed mattress. This is unsanitary and gross.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay with us last month. We certainly apologize for the discomfort that you experienced with the lack of fitted sheets. We are currently in process of adding these to our inventory, so I do hope that, if your travels bring you back to Boulder and the Millennium, that your stay will be more comfortable.

Another reviewer referred to the state of the "infrastructure" but that is just another way of saying that this hotel is long overdue for a major face-lift. The hallway carpets should have been replaced years ago.

My greatest complaint, though, is that the hotel did not extend in-house conference discounts to all late registrants. This is the first time ever that I have experienced a hotel cutting off the conference prices a full month PRIOR to the start of the conference. Those of us that did not register earlier paid more than twice the prices for the rooms - and simply stated they were not worth it.

The reviews of this place are hit-or-miss -- normally a place I would avoid, but when this proved to be the winning bid on Pr-c-l-ne, I had no choice. The actual experience proved to be a pleasant surprise. First, it was off-peak, i.e. long after school had let out in nearby CU. Next, the friendly front desk person David gave us an "upgrade" to a room in the South Wing, facing the scenic foothills. (Whether this was an actual upgrade is debatable, since at least one reviewer here suggested that the Main Building is nicer -- that being said, I wasn't disappointed.) Yes, the carpet looks tired in places, and the overall feel of the parking lot and building reminds you of decades gone by. But the room itself (416) had clean, modern fixtures, and the maid staff was thorough and pleasant. There is free wi-fi in the lobby area as well. Parking was free and no problem (but again, off-peak).

We stayed one night at the Milennium Harvest House after getting a great rate from Priceline. I too had read the previous reviews so imagine my delight when I stepped to the check-in desk to find David! I timidly asked if we could be in the main building rather than the 'west wing.' He put us in a great room in the main building and even gave us a “view.” Not only was he helpful in the check-in process (changing the room from 2 double beds to 1 king), but he also went out of his way to help us make a decision about things to do in the Boulder area. I even stopped back to the desk a second time and he spent a considerable time explaining how to get to the places we wanted to go to and recommending places to eat. One of his recommenations was breakfast at the Dushanbe Tea House, a delightful and fascinating place with pretty good food too. I think that for the price, the Harvest House was a very good value and I also think that David deserves a raise.

We got Millennium Harvest House using the Priceline iPhone app. We needed a hotel for the night, as we opted to stay in Boulder instead of Denver to catch a flight the next day. The price was great, so I jumped on trip advisor to read reviews. When we checked in, we asked to be placed in the main hotel and not to "dreaded" west wing. David, who was awesome, said we were in luck and checked us in. the room was spacious and clean. used the lobby computers to print out boarding passes. that was complimentary, but internet access was a fee. i was VERY happy about our stay and would definitely try to stay there again when we come out for a longer period.
