“Overpriced & old, don't stay!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

This hotel has so much to work with and yet has let the building rundown. The halls were in dire need of painting, new carpet & they smelled musty. The rooms were large but again, the walls needed cleaning and the TV was so tiny. The bathroom was old & in need of replacement. The shower head was extremely low, the bathtub didn't drain (standing in ankle deep water) and the water pressure was so hard you couldn't stay in long. The bed was hard and extremely uncomfortable. We hoped the food would at least make up for the lacking hotel room, but no such luck. The eggs benedict came with a gooey "sauce" that made me sick, and the potatoes on the plate came from the buffet they offered. My husband's breakfast was lacking as well. The next morning we were forced to purchased the $15 per person breakfast buffet which was mostly pre-made food & we avoided the hotel made food after being sick from the first breakfast!! Basically -- a $15 meal of cereal and fruit. We had a $75 food credit and ended up wasting the majority of it because we were afraid to try their lunch and dinner. The one up side -- our hotel package included massages which were wonderful, and thankfully offered by a separate company!! This hotel has such potential but they've let it rundown. Sorry to say, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. For $800 for two nights for an anniversary weekend, we excepted better!

When looking for a hotel to stay at in boulder, the website for this hotel caught our eye. We booked a room online a month in advanced and when we called two days before they had no record of our reservation. We did however have a confirmation email and still not record was found on their end. They were able to get us a room but we were very disappointed that they lost out origional reservation. It looked like a nice place to stay online but upon our arrival we found the website was very deceiving.

Everything about this hotel is outdated. The charm discribed on the webside was lost years ago. The staff was friendly I guess, but that really didnt make up for the countless other things that went wrong.

After checking in and getting settelled in the room we found the tv was from the dinosaur ages. Not only was it old, it also did not work. It would not turn on with the remote or by any of the buttons on the TV.

The next disappointment we found was with the Internet access. They wanted to charge 10$ a day for wifi. We were able to get it free of charge by signing a "loyalty" waver but it was annoying to have to go back down to the concierge to sign the paper after just returning from trying to get the tv issue resolved.

The bathroom is a whole other issue. The shower was small and the shower curtain bar was straight, not curved, so the liner stuck to your skin because of the lack of room. The sink looked clean but when brushing our teeth it clogged and took about an hour to drain.

There is also a business center available for use but there is a minimum fee of 5$ per x amount of minuets. We needed to print concert tickets and were able to do so for .25 cents at staples two blocks away.

The amount of nickle and dimeing that goes on at this place is absurd. Reading the trip advisor reviews after the fact was our mistake. Some responses from the hotel to other dissapointed costomers include reports of replacing the carpet three years ago. There is no way the carpet in that hotel is any newer than 10 years.

The electrical sockets were on the wallas opposite the beds which was another small inconvienence.

Getting in the parking lot was very easy but finding an exit was extremely difficult. We had to drive around the back to get to the main road.

The hotel advertises its large size which seems appealing but it's like going on a dirty smelly hike to find your room.

Over all this hotel experience was angering and a bad way to end out 10 day family vacation. Definetly not worth 400$ for two nights. LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. Find another place to stay.

Very large business type hotel with very friendly front desk staff. The closest elevator to my roon was out of service and the halls were a bit dated. The room was very nice and had been upgraded. Beds were comfortable and room had plenty of illumination. The room did not have a flat screen TV. I have to say that my concern was security. They do lock the many hotel secondary doors late night but in my opinion, all outside doors should be locked all the time using your hotel key to enter. Safety should be a concern especially in a strange city. The sign in the parking lot said the hotel is not responsible for stolen items in your car. No warm fuzzes here. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet. Get one near a working elevator if you choose to stay here.

Stayed in the Millennium Harvest House for 3 nights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food o.k....nothing to rave about. Best thing at breakfast is the large fruit bowl (excellent) and hot oatmeal. Go elsewhere for dinner if you can. Pricey and not great. Location very good. Pools wonderful. Great to see so many active, thin people. They have bike rentals and shuttle service anywhere in Boulder. Hotel is being renovated, so all rooms may not be as great, but mine was sooo roomy and very clean. Bed & pillows extremely comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower. Some outside noise, but I had a room on the front of the hotel. Request one on the back side if you like it really quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to say there again.

Room Tip: Quiet side of the hotel, as the front is on a busy street.

The hotel was a disappointment. The hallways and our sleeping room smelled like old smoke which got me off to a bad start. The bed was comfortable and towels were large and fluffy. I didn't have much interaction with staff but those with whom I did interact were very helpful. The building looks and feels like it has been around awhile but not updated.

Could use a little updating which is in the works, but beautiful grounds and perfect location. The staff is outstanding. Accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Michael checked us in and went out of his way him to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Many thanks for a great stay!

Three generations of our family, including a two-year old and two-month old infant are here at the Millennium for two weeks. At the end of our first week, I have only the highest praise for all the staff who are making this a very enjoyable introduction to Boulder. Before we arrived, I was quite worried about some recent reviews and I simply don't understand them. The grounds are beautiful and connect to the lovely Boulder Creek bike path. We have biked and strollered nearly every day. There is an indoor lap pool, an outdoor pool which a favorite with the family, as well as hot spa pools.

The in- house restaurant Thyme on the Creek has super breakfast buffets, lovely lunch offerings and homemade soups. The waitstaff are all very accommodating about serving us with the babies in comfortable booths.

For variety we walk a couple blocks to Zolo's restaurant . The delightful Pearl Street places are about a mile away..we walked there along the bikepath, but it is also a quick drive.

It is a good base for a variety of hiking excursions.

Our rooms overlook the lovely gardens and we have a view of the mountain ridges. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and housekeeping has been great about working around naptimes.

We are very much looking forward to the rest of our stay.

Room Tip: We are in the wing closest to the Boulder Creek path on the side overlooking the gardens
