We stay at the St. Juiians Hotel when we are in Boulder, and usually do not eat at the restaurant in the hotel, however, it was really cold and windy early in the morning, and we decided to "just eat breakfast" at Jills rather than braving the freezing Boulder weather. What a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. I ordered blueberry pancakes that were out of sight! My husand ordered eggs benedict, and was happy with his meal, and our daughter ordered an egg white frittata, and enjoyed every bite. We also tasted the various sausages that they offer, and they were very good too.

. We started out with drinks near the fireplace. It felt like we were in New York City with the sophisticated decor and lighting. Our waitress was attentive and we were then seated in the dining room at a table of our choice. The fixed price menu selection was varied and all 4 of us enjoyed our choices. The waiter was attentive and not intrusive. We hope to see Jill's on the 1stBiteBoulder list again. The price was right!"

We recently had dinner at Jill’s restaurant in Boulder. The interior design of the restaurant was lovely. We were seated with a view of Walnut Street, and it was a great view of all of the weekend festivities. The service was good. The menu had a plentiful variety of choices. The portions were small. The olive tapenade was delicious, and the rest of the food was fine.

My friend from New York came to visit for the weekend, and I wanted to take her to a place with a view that was fun. So we if got a few folks together and met at the back patio at the St. Julien Hotel, which faces the Flatirons. Service was good considering the crowd. They have happy hour food which was good.and some reduced-price drinks. A salsa band started at about 6:30 and it was really loud so we moved into the lobby which was nice, we could hear the music and still talk. I think it would be a great place to meet people especially if you like to dance! At around 5, there were several families with children, seated outside, a which was nice for the parents so they could have some grown-up time and the kids could play a little outside.

I do have to agree with the previous reviewer about the mediocre service. My wife and I have dined at Jill's twice for brunch. It seems when you ask the server for something such as more juice or ketchup or anything else; end up having to ask for it again. This is interesting because the servers seems very attentive on many other fronts. We found that servers were supporting each other too at times. This certainly helps to provide better and more efficient service to patrons.
The food is very good. The buffet style brunch offers everything from made to order omelettes and Belgian(the real deal) waffles to smoked salmon to delicious seasoned gulf shrimp. The selection of non breakfast items included Asian inspired Mahi-Mahi to paella to mashed potato like croquettes wrapped with pancetta. For the sweet tooth lover in most of us, the dessert bar offers all the palate pleasing treats you can desire. From a chocolate dipping fountain to a vast assortment of miniatures.
The restuarant is elegant and modern with lots of wood paneling to boot. Ask for a table by the window and watch the passer-byes stroll down Walnut street in downtown Boulder.
