“Iris! Iris! Iris”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Long's Iris Gardens has been a Boulder institution for generations. Stop by late April or May to "dig your own" iris and add vibrancy to your own garden. Dozens of varieties to choose from. Before you leave, spend 30 minutes walking the property and admire the rows Ask to look inside at the original store, with all its history. Visit the newest addition too, goats!

“Best Place to Buy Iris Plants”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Other reviews spell it out - this is the place for those of us who want numerous iris plants. We go most years and dig up many plants. Then we split them at home making it a very inexpensive and worthwhile visit. It is the place to go without doubt if you live near Boulder.

“A Boulder Landmark...and great Irises, too!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

I go to Long's every spring and select irises from their self-digging patch. It's a great deal if you aren't picky about the color of irises you select- you'll only know what you're picking if they are starting to bloom. In fact, I will need to go next spring as I have to fill in some holes in my garden. It's fun to dig them out of the ground yourself. The gift shop is also really cute and I typically find something there to buy.

“Gorgeous color”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Long's has been a mainstay for many years for those who love bearded irises. Can find many new colors. It's wonderful just to walk through the gardens for the color.

“Magical place”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

The flowering iris fields are not as extensive as they were 20 years ago, but it is still a very wonderful and magical place to visit when the flowers are in bloom. Not only iris, but also poppies. I've seen deer and foxes there, especially early in the morning. Every young child should experience the iris fields when in bloom. Over the years we've gone out and dug up exactly what we wanted to add to our garden each spring.
