“flatirons 1 good hype”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

challenging and not too long- good hype for someone in good shape-lots of rocks and boulders, better to wear hiking shoes. Rapid, steep climb.

“drive up to Gross Reservoir”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

just on the west side of Boulder, a blacktop drive of 20 some miles brought us to the Gross Reservoir - loved the beautiful, quiet, and peaceful setting.

“Easy hike for an afternoon”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Minutes from downtown Boulder and as easy or as hard of a hike as you want. We had limited time so we took a path that lasted about 2 hours or so. Great hike for families with kids.

“Royal Arch hike was fabulous!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

At 1200 feet of elevation gain, this hike was enough to be challenging but with great vistas at the top. Took us about 2.5 hours RT. Starts in a meadow and works its way through lots of stone "steps". There's a downhill stretch that teases you as you then have to head back uphill to reach the Arch. Beautiful!

“Awesome Views”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Bring your camera and be prepared for a hike but it is well worth the trip. Amazing views in all directions. The climb is about 7 miles I believe, not horrible but be prepared for the altitude. Bring water, camera, light jacket depending on time of climb, and good comfy shoes.
