Description: Namaste! Welcome to Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar! Proudly serving Boulder since 2002, we offer a unique combination of authentic Nepali, Tibetan, and Indian cuisine in a family friendly atmosphere. As the name implies, we are genuine Sherpas from the Himalaya aiming to bring a little of Nepal and Tibet to Boulder. All of our food is true to authentic family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We make our meals to order, including fresh breads, sauces, and desserts. Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar features an authentic, charcoal-fired Tandoor clay oven for heart-healthy, low-fat meals. You can taste the authenticity and quality in our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and homemade Tibetan dumplings, stuffed with Himalayan spices. In addition to our delicious food, we offer a truly unique Traveler's Library & Lounge with plenty of books to help get you started planning your next adventure! Feel free to peruse the displayed Sherpa history and photos, explore our expedition, trekking, and volunteer trip booking opportunities, and look over our list of guest speakers. We hope Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar provides all we intend it to - good food, cold beer, a little inspiration, a little education, and an escape to the Himalayas - all without leaving the shadow of the Flat Irons.

Every year we return in the summer to Boulder, from Thailand, and every year we eat at Sherpa's. Why? Because it is the most authentic Nepali food we can find in the US. Delicious...yes! Good value?...yes. Quite a good combination! Keep up the great work. Namaste, Chris

Fantastic food in a house converted into restaurant in central location. Good menu with reasonable prices. Service was outstanding. I've eaten here every time I'm in Boulder.

We went with a group of 11. We ordered all sorts of different menu items and dined family-style, passing the large plates of food around. The lamb dishes were great, a treat for me, everyone gave the various dishes a thumbs-up. Seems like a family-run operation. They got the order messed up a little but since we were doing it family-style we weren't out of food. They quickly remedied the situation. I think it is appropriate for couples, families, larger special occasions like birthdays, etc. and even a fun first date. They have one of those old-fashioned sort of coin-operated fortune teller contraptions in the entry area of to the side, and the fortune teller is a yak! Very funny! The bill with several beers, for 11 of us was just under $140, keeping in mind that we didn't each order a dinner, but we did order quite a few to share, and there were leftovers ! Great value. Our friends who invited us are regulars and we can see why.

You rarely hear "good value" and "Boulder" in the same sentence when describing a restaurant. We ate at Sherpa's tonight for the first time. The seating areas, whether inside or out, offer excellent ambiance, with the interior decorated with pictures from the Himalayas, and the outside perfect for a summer evening meal. We had 2 appetizers which were very well priced (the bread at $2.50 was a bargain), and an entree apiece. The entrees were good, maybe not great ethnic food, but you couldn't beat the price. Their beer and wine was very reasonable (I thought the draft beer was another bargain). The service was a bit rushed, but friendly. Overall, we thought it was an excellent dining experience and wouldn't hesitate to return. An added bonus is that one of the chefs has scaled Everest multiple times.
