Description: Namaste! Welcome to Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar! Proudly serving Boulder since 2002, we offer a unique combination of authentic Nepali, Tibetan, and Indian cuisine in a family friendly atmosphere. As the name implies, we are genuine Sherpas from the Himalaya aiming to bring a little of Nepal and Tibet to Boulder. All of our food is true to authentic family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We make our meals to order, including fresh breads, sauces, and desserts. Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar features an authentic, charcoal-fired Tandoor clay oven for heart-healthy, low-fat meals. You can taste the authenticity and quality in our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and homemade Tibetan dumplings, stuffed with Himalayan spices. In addition to our delicious food, we offer a truly unique Traveler's Library & Lounge with plenty of books to help get you started planning your next adventure! Feel free to peruse the displayed Sherpa history and photos, explore our expedition, trekking, and volunteer trip booking opportunities, and look over our list of guest speakers. We hope Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar provides all we intend it to - good food, cold beer, a little inspiration, a little education, and an escape to the Himalayas - all without leaving the shadow of the Flat Irons.

“WIsh I had time to eat here twice on our visit to Boulder!”

Recently ate lunch here and loved it! Their lunch special is the best bargain in Boulder. The atmosphere is great, as is the food and service. Will return next trip for dinner.

“Indian/Nepalese Food in a Great Outdoor Garden/Bistro Setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

The outdoor garden setting truly makes a dinner (or lunch) at Sherpa's a great experience. The food is very good, with the Saag Panir getting top honors. The Veg member of our group had lots of options on the menu. As noted by another TA reviewer : Indian food + Fat Tire + outdoor garden = a great meal experience. Dinner for 7 with beers was about $100.

“Good but not great Ethnic food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

THere are many himalayan restaurants in boulder/denver oweing to the close relationship between these mountaineering regions. The food is always good, but not great, and the service is fair to good. That said, its worth doing to taste the interesting spices and load up the always excellent Chai. This os probably your best bet for tibetan food in Boulder, and the restaurant, in an old house, is charming.

“Wonderful”

Don't be in a hurry cuz life should be taken slowly while sipping a cold beer, watching the sun set from a lovely courtyard. The food was simple, exotic and delicious. Highly recommend visiting.

“Fat Tire & Vindaloo, Who Knew?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Nothing fancy here, just a homey feel to each of a few rooms in a converted house, plus outside cafe tables in a garden setting. Very nice folks running the place and working there, too. Finally, a menu with an eclectic selection of Indian, Nepalese, Tibetan dishes to satisfy any palate that craves the spices and flavors from that region. Yes, you can get chicken fingers and fries if you have a finicky child, but otherwise this is my favorite kind of restaurant...one where you are not afraid to try something different because it will turn out to be a great new taste experience. I loved my vegetable korma but can't wait to go back for something Tibetan next time I'm in Boulder. Six adults, two kids, and we ordered 3 appetizers, 8 entrees, 6 beers...and the tab came to $100 + tip. In Boulder, that's what I call a value meal! Not the most extensive wine and beer selection, but quite adequate.
