Description: Namaste! Welcome to Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar! Proudly serving Boulder since 2002, we offer a unique combination of authentic Nepali, Tibetan, and Indian cuisine in a family friendly atmosphere. As the name implies, we are genuine Sherpas from the Himalaya aiming to bring a little of Nepal and Tibet to Boulder. All of our food is true to authentic family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We make our meals to order, including fresh breads, sauces, and desserts. Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar features an authentic, charcoal-fired Tandoor clay oven for heart-healthy, low-fat meals. You can taste the authenticity and quality in our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and homemade Tibetan dumplings, stuffed with Himalayan spices. In addition to our delicious food, we offer a truly unique Traveler's Library & Lounge with plenty of books to help get you started planning your next adventure! Feel free to peruse the displayed Sherpa history and photos, explore our expedition, trekking, and volunteer trip booking opportunities, and look over our list of guest speakers. We hope Sherpa's Adventure Restaurant & Bar provides all we intend it to - good food, cold beer, a little inspiration, a little education, and an escape to the Himalayas - all without leaving the shadow of the Flat Irons.

I've been to Sherpa's several times and this was one of those times where we just got lucky. Snowy evening, late dinner, the restaurant was slowing down for the evening so we didn't have to wait, service was excellent, timely. I've heard from many not to expect service there to be "friendly" if that's what you're looking for, but our waitstaff was more than competent and timely and the food was delicious! I highly recommend any appetizer, momo platter, and sherpa stew to warm you up! I'd caution anyone on having the "Winter Warmer" drink which was chai tea, rum, whipped cream...kinda girly, but fairly delicious, just strong on the rum (again depends on what you're looking for). This is a great spot off the beaten path a little bit and definitely a unique cuisine. A must in Boulder!

We go to Sherpa's for the Tibetan food. I don't know of any other place where you can get a bowl of hot Thupka. We also love the momos and chili chicken. For anyone who has lived in Tibet, Nepal or India, you will find this place very nourishing and reminiscent. It is low key, the table service isn't stuffy, particularly fast or perfect, but it is still THE place for us! If you order anything to go, they only need 10-15 minutes to prepare it (if you call early in the dinner hour). They have a great outdoor patio, and it is about a block away from the St. Julien. Enjoy!

We, a group of 10 people, went there a few weeks ago. Everyone enjoyed their food. Three of us ordered sherpa stew (Yak), since we were in the Sherpa's and we thought we might as well order something authenticly Sherpa's. It was actually my first time eating Yak, and it was good.

The restaurant is in a great location. It has a nice large patio. I had a lunch special and it was not special. Rather bland and boring. I will give it another chance though one of these days for a proper dinner.

The food is fresh and plentiful, but what I like most is the great outdoor patio, view of the Flatirons and the fact that it is off of Pearl Street... Just a joy.
