We are visitors to Boulder and therefore booked and payed for one of these tours - the Thurs eve bike tour -but despite several attempts to locate this company both by email and phone calls we have had no response and no details asto where and when to meet! This "organisation "/ scam has only been too happy to take our money and ensure we have no means of reaching them. Multiple phone calls and emails remain unanswered. Has this company gone bankrupt or did it never exist? Why has it not contacted us to refund us our money if it cannot deliver the goods? I would strongly caution people to not fall for this website and by no means pay for this unless you can contact them and if you can to please post the means of your contact.
Very disappointed and frustrated! I can only give this a negative/criminal rating.

The Bike to Farm Tour was our groups' final night in Boulder. We could not have asked for a better farewell dinner! The bike riding around the countryside of Boulder was something words can not describe and to end up back at Lone Hawk Farm with the table and globe lights was spectacular! The ambiance, the story and the food were AMAZING! One of the best dinners in all of my years of event planning! Kelly is amazing and exceeded all of my expectations!!! Would recommend to everyone who visits Boulder as a MUST DO!!!!!

We brought the whole family. Kelly arranged two different farm trips to accommodate all riding abilities. Food was great, service was sweet. We love to support the local food movement. More of it!

Several friends and I went on a bike to farm tour last week and we had a great time. When we arrived at Sol y Sombra Farm we were welcomed warmly by our guide Anna. We did some quick introductions to the rest of the group and those that needed to borrow bikes were able to pick from a big selection of comfortable hybrid-style bikes, then we were immediately off. Our group was very friendly and despite having come with friends I ended up riding next to an older gentleman and chatting with him, which was cool. Anna was very good about keeping the group together and there was a sweep person in the back in case anyone had bike troubles or needed a breather, they wouldn't be separated from the group. We stopped every mile or so at photogenic places and Anna told us little interesting facts about the area and the farms that we passed. About half way into the ride we stopped at Lone Hawk Farm which is a really neat place. The owner of the farm was there and showed us his solar powered electric tractor. He was very friendly and an interesting character. Then we headed back on a different route, making about a 13 mile loop overall through some surprisingly pretty farm and horse country. I have lived in the area a long time but did not realize how many little organic farms there are between Longmont and Boulder. When we got back to Sol y Sombra the pizza oven was cranking out delicious wood fired pizzas topped with fresh ingredients from the garden right there. The sun set was brilliant, dropping behind Long's Peak and the continental divide as we enjoyed a great feast and met all kinds of nice people. Overall I thought the night was a bargain at the price. I think if anything they could charge more. Anna was an outstanding guide and our entire group had an awesome night. We'd definitely do it again, and I'll be recommending this bike to farm tour to friends and family in the future. It was really fun to ride in a big group, check out a cool area, and make some new friends.

We came into Denver on a Thursday morning and called in the afternoon to see if they would have room for us to join their Thursday night dinner ride. Even though it was last minute, we a call back from Kelly, and they (and the farmers) were able to squeeze us in!

We showed up to the farm and among the chickens wandering around, our guide Anna brought out rental bikes we could try. We left the farm shortly after and rode about 11 miles around the area. It was a bit windy during the first half while we were going slightly uphill, so it was a moderate ride. About half way through, we stopped at another, local organic farm and got to walk around to see the vegetables growing. The last half was mostly downhill or flat. There were plenty of stops for water, and the scenery is very pretty. We saw a couple of osprey along the way. There were two or three smaller hills during the entire ride, so it was not too difficult. Anna was friendly, helpful, and laid back. It was a good way to begin the night.

The farm, Sol y Sombra, had mint lemonade waiting for us when we got back. (It was very refreshing!) There was a nice table set outside with some light bulbs stung above, so we could eat and enjoy the sunset. The food came out shortly after. First we had a salad with some caramelized onions, which was very unique. Next, we had several wood-fired pizzas. One was peach tarragon and was quite tasty. This was my boyfriend's favorite. I liked the zucchini, yellow squash and tomato pizza the best. The vegetables were all grown on the farm and tasted wonderful. Pizza was followed by dessert - a cookie ice cream sandwich.

The only downside were some mosquitoes! They cut our evening a bit short unfortunately. Apparently, they hadn't been that bad on prior tours, but if you go, make sure to bring a change of longer pants or sleeves to change into or put on some bug spray!

Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing evening. I would recommend it.

What's not to love; a beautiful farm, fresh food, baby chicks, a loveable guide and a bike ride in a wonderful landscape. We met wonderful people from all over the world. It was a truly memorable evening. We plan to do it again sometime. A truly brilliant concept that includes all of our favorite things. See you again.

We were hosting 20 students for a workshop about agriculture. Awe-Struck Outdoors organized not one but two wonderful tours of local farms and a delicious lunch for our group. Everyone had a wonderful time and learned a lot. I would recommend Awe-Struck Outdoors to anyone wanting a wonderful time at a farm. This was exactly what we wanted and so much more.

We had a great time cruising the foothills. What a wonderful backdrop to a fun evening! The food was good but it was so much more than that--great way to reconnecting with friends. A must to check out!

First of all, there was nothing farm to table about this meal!!!! It was catered BBQ NOT FRESH!!!!!!! Store bought coleslaw, shredded BBQ Beef, overly blue cheesy au get in potatoes. Nothing farm to table but an overly dressed salad!!! The only farm aspect was that we ate in a barn with mice and NO BATHROOM and NO water!!! Way overpriced for catered meal. There are plenty of other farm dinners out there with much better food and service!!!! Yuck

So sorry you were disappointed with the food, that is not our intention at all! We did partner with a well-respected caterer that day that sources most ingredients from local farms in the area, it might be a little down home for some people, we change the menu and work with several farms so it might have been an off night. On our Thursday Night Rides the farmer is available to prepare a fresh meal and we have dinner outside under the stars, surrounded by heirloom vegetables. We put together a private dinner for your party on short notice and the Pick and Pay Barn was the only space available(the other space we use was hosting a wedding that night) it is good feedback that it might have been too rustic for you. I am kicking myself that we didn't set up outside, but there was a threat of rain.
Our fee is fair, it may be hard to see the costs of running a guiding company + having dinner at farms, but they are substantial. Our guides are paid a fair wage and we are committed to supporting the farms as well.

We had an AMAZING time on our bike to farm night this past week with Awestruck Outdoors. Reba and Steve were awesome tour guides and the farm hosts were so gracious. We were a large group of seventeen women and they were awesome at getting the food out to us and dealing with our rowdiness. The ladies just raved and raved about the farm, the food (incredible) and the super fun bike ride. I cannot thank them enough for putting up with us and showing us such a great time. We will definitely be doing again and sharing your information with all our friends!
