It was a short walk to a nice view. We enjoyed driving the winding roads and the views along the way. Made for a good day trip.

These falls are not readily visible as you drive past. However, the short hike to view them is worth a trip or a short break to have lunch near the falls or along the river.

There are lot of places to visit, a short drive from Boulder and Boulder Falls is one of them. Good place to visit for families with children. There also a lot of walking trails nearby.

Boulder Falls is actually on North Boulder Creek (a photo I see with this entry is of a cascade on the main stem of Boulder Creek). The short walk to the falls is closed from late fall to early spring owing to rock falls. If you live somewhere without waterfalls, maybe this seems special, but it is rather pedestrian compared with many others in the Rockies and is actually a tough one to photograph.

Put on your hiking boots and get going!! A pretty drive up Boulder Canyon will reward you with a casual hiking experience for you and your older children to the picturesque Boulder Falls. You may get wee bit wet and it can get slippery so watch your step......but well worth the effort!!! Bring along a camera...lots of photo ops!!!
