Now that it's the most technologically advanced planetarium in the world and it's in IMAX format. Take a date, go with your family & friends and look up to see what's going on in our galaxy and beyond. Cool laser shows too.

I love to visit planetaria and the high resolution projection system at Fiske lured me on a recent trip to Boulder. There are some interesting exhibits while you wait although overall, it is a smaller scale planetarium. It appears to be staffed by students and two graduate level students ran the show including the narration during the film. They showed the film "Dynamic Earth" which is OK, not exceptional and definitely not new. The message about "climate change" is worth hearing and the film gives very clear explanations of how climate change is affecting the planet. The graduate student who narrated the show was very knowledgeable and warm. We very much enjoyed our visit overall, even if we would have preferred to see "Black Holes." There's easy parking in front of the building.

We visited during an orientation day at the University. Just a great educational experience! The quality of the projection was incredible.

We stumbled upon this place while walking around the U of CO campus... And we ended up spending around 45 mins to an hour here, looking at the interactive learning exhibits. At night I think they have late-night laser shows featuring famous bands/performers. According to their website, "Fiske shows consist of a combination of preprogrammed portions and a live performance. The duration of shows are about one hour." Next time we'll make sure to come at night to see a show. Overall, a really neat place to walk around, even with kids. And it's free. :)
