“Excellent creative kitchen”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

We only got there for lunch but everything was excellent...fresh fish, bread and veggies. Very fair prices for a blend of CAlifornia & Mediterranean food. If you are ever in Boulder definiteley worth a stop.

“Best Restaurant In Boulder”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Having lived in Boulder for many years, I've never had a better meal than at Riffs this past weekend.

The food was absolutely exceptional, and every plate that we had was delicious. The flavor combinations all worked perfectly.

While Boulder's go to restaurants like The Kitchen and The Med get more attention (and often more crowds and long waits), Riffs food was significantly better than any meal I've eaten at any other restaurant in town.

Service is simple, but effective. Unlike restaurants like The Flagstaff house with their army of wait staff, you'll have a single dedicated server at Riffs.

The small plate style menu was great for us as a couple, but I do tend to dislike this style of menu for larger groups because of the complication in ordering and how the best plates have too much competition.

Between two of us, we shared two "Proper Plates", two small plates and a dessert, which was a perfect amount of food.

We'll definitely be returning in the future!

“They get our vote for lunch”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Had lunch here over the Memorial Day weekend which is a huge event in Boulder. There was a line for the patio but were quickly seated at a nice table outside. The salads and white wine coupled with the great sunshine made for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Can't beat that.

“Excellent food; Service is Hit and Miss”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I have had dinner and lunch at this restaurant four times in the last two months. The service has been hit and miss. At dinner we had incredible service and three times during lunch the service was less than exceptional and rather inattentive. The food has been wonderful. The brussell sprouts are my favorite item on the menu!

The restaurant can be a bit noisy and the tables are rather close together, but overall, I find this to be a great choice...just wish they would improve the lunch time service.

The Pearl Street location makes for some interesting people watching.

“My favorite non-ethnic place in Boulder hands down!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I have never ordered anything here that I havent loved, whether its an appetizer, meal, or dessert, they have yet to disappoint me. I have had calamari and recently tried a halibut special. I have tried the salmon and the mixed steamed greens. I have also tried a couple of the desserts, most recently a cheesecake brownie. Everything has been incredible, they are smaller portions so despite being rich you dont feel sick after. The crowd is fun, the service is great, cool atmosphere. Lots of healthy options but also plenty of options for those who likes some homestyle cooking! Meat, seafood and veggie options. Definitely worth trying!
