Having dined in many national and international locations I sincerly rank Cafe Blue among my favorite. So much of an experience is due in part of those waiting on you and Cafe Blue's owners hire knowledgable and friendly servers. In addition, they are very accomodating to food allergies and preferences. The macaroni and cheese is amazing and the salads are fresh and often come with homemade rolls or garlic bread. Would highly recommend for couples, family or a night out with friends.

That's the only thing I order. I like eating here in warmer weather, when you can sit outside. The inside is a bit crowded and too dark, pubby feeling for my taste.

The Gunbarrel area of Boulder has few choices for restaurants but Cafe Blue makes up for this with a consistently good menu and extremely helpful wait staff. Located in the King Soopers mall, this unassuming restaurant serves "American Cuisine" which translates into familiar comfort food. In addition to excellent burgers, consider the macaroni and cheese or Cincinnati Chili which is a ground beef chili (no beans) served on spaghetti. The Chicken Saltimbocca is a hearty (albeit heavy) meal offering a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. For salad lovers, try the Tomato Mozzarella Salad (you can add protein), Spinach Salad or Quinoa Salad.

The bar is small and there's not a lot of variety but the pours are generous.

The wait staff is consistently friendly and helpful, a welcome change to many restaurants.

Great upscale menu and wine list at mid-scale prices and great atmosphere. Small and cozy in quiet residential neighborhood.
