We stopped by for lunch, first time there. With my daughter and husband both vegetarians we thought this would be a good choice. There was just several people in the restaurant and the food was a bit pricey but you are paying for the quality. Our meals were good, just service was soooo slow and it certainly wasn't because it was crowded. Perhaps the dinner experience would be a bit different but it was good food but experience was lacking for lunch.

The food was delicious. I had a calamari appetizer that just melted in my mouth and duck three ways that was unique and my only complaint about it was that I wanted more. And our server was great. I would definitely eat there again.

Off the beaten path in Boulder, CO sits a restaurant that consistently serves top shelf meals with the freshest of ingredients. We have dined at Arugula several times and each visit exceeds our expectations! From the fresh and inventive salads to the seafood, risotto and desserts this restaurant is among the best in Boulder! Venture away from downtown and you won't be disappointed.

Service and Ambience were o.k., but the food was not that good and very overpriced. I had a $27 NY strip ordered rare. Came out medium and was cut in half. Not sure what happened to the other half, but it was about 7 oz. Lots of good ingredients, but just seemed to lack the right chef to put them all together. Even with a discount voucher, I did not feel the restaurant was a good value. There are much better restaurants in Boulder.

Whenever I visit Boulder, I always try to eat at Arugula along with trying new places. The food is always fresh, tasty, interesting without being weird, and lovely to look at. They use vegetables creatively as well as drawing on local sources. A good range of dishes, changed seasonally, with options for all kinds of eaters. Gluten free and vegan marked on the menu, but plenty for carnivores and everyone else. Great Mac and cheese for kids too. Good place
