We went for First Bite Boulder - three course meal for $26 - plus drinks, etc. Salt added another nuance in having wines paired to the menu priced at $26 for whites and $52 for red. Unfortunately they were out of the sauvignon blanc I wanted to go with our fish and sea food orders. I decide to order a Kabinett Riesling that when delivered was greeted with a course of "you never order anything this sweet" which is true but it did pair well.
The meal starts with bread and butter with a small dish of black and white salt. We each had a different appetizer and all of them were really good; pear polenta, squash soup, cheese plate with chorizo and pate and your basic beet salad. Main course hit was mahi mahi on a bed of kale and crisp potato a lesser choice was the scallops and capellini. Dessert was a hit with pear torte and an excellent chocolate tart. (see pictures) The service was slow all night, but not really enough to complain about. To our surprise the waitress brought us each a glass of tawny port with dessert as a complimentary apology for the slow service. Thank you Chelsea! The restaurant is a little loud for comfortable conversation, but not overbearing. Dishes and table service removed quickly and efficiently after each course and extras boxed by busser.
