“Sweet Cabin and Access to Trails!”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

My 9 year old and I stayed in Cabin 510. It was delightful and every need had been anticipated. We appreciated the time we had together to "unplug" and hike. That said, we didn't count on being disturbed until 11:00 p.m. by a show at the auditorium on Saturday night. Frankly, had we known how loud and obnoxious the show would be, we would have booked another weekend. Thank goodness for the iPhone Sound Machine App--but you shouldn't need that in Chautauqua...

Room Tip: Watch the Chautauqua calendar and avoid the shows.

Thank you for taking the time to give us such valuable feedback about your stay at Colorado Chautauqua. We are very proud of our unique accommodations and we are so pleased to have been a part of your experience. I'm glad that you and your son had the opportunity spend time together and unplug. I'm sorry that the noise from the show at the Chautauqua Auditorium disturbed you and detracted from an otherwise delightful time together. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to your return to Colorado Chautauqua.

We have been coming to Chautauqua Cottages for 6 years now. Just can't beat the beauty, tranquility peaceful experience that you experience here. The cottages are always clean and comfortable and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The only disappointment is the price and the fact that the AARP discount is only offered in the winter.

Our first experience staying at a Chautauqua, and we will definitely be visiting again. The serenity, beauty of nature, magnificent views of mountains, views of Boulder, trails to walk or hike, and the comfortable, well appointed and clean cottage all made our experience near perfect.

Room Tip: some cottages are privately owned. I noticed on the internet when choosing a cottage that the décor...

This was m 6th time to stay at the Chautauqua in Boulder! I love the fact that I am in the city and in the mountains with hiking right outside my front door! The cottages are well kept and comfortable! We have always had a clean cottage upon arrival and if we ever needed anything, housekeeping always helped out! Some of the cottages are dog friendly which makes it nice when our son's dog comes over before or after a hike!
The Dining Hall food is amazing and having entertainment within walking distance is the icing on the cake!

Two of us are from Ohio and met two family members from Portland, OR, at Chautauqua. Great time. Hope to go back again!!! One of the group missed the TV for news reports, but the others of us loved no TV. Of course, then again, we did have WI-Fi. GREAT place and what a wonderful city is: great for hiking, dining (vegan and otherwise)!

Room Tip: We love the rooms by the Bluebell Trail. Literally step out the door and start walking! GREAT view...

Staying here is going to the mountains while being in a city. It is peaceful, beautiful, hiking trails outside your door; and a wonderful dining room. There are also wonderful gardens to sit and read or contemplate life. A real jewel.

A suite at Columbine Lodge was a perfect place to both relax and launch ourselves into vacation mode. Morning constitutional on one of the many hiking trails and then a delicious hearty breakfast before setting off to our after breakfast rest period. Laundry or just discussing the next course of action. Off to adventure and sightsee the Flat Irons and places in and around Boulder. Maybe another hike in the afternoon before enjoying a cocktail on our screened-in porch and then off to one of the many great restaurants for supper. Enjoyed every second. Another amenity is the very convenient laundry area. Great place for a great time.
