“Don't miss the art exhibit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2011

A great place to venture through, even if you don't have a library card. The art exhibit in the north-wing of the library was wonderful when we went. The library has an interesting layout, and definitely worth walking through. Check out the used books for sale for $1.

“Nice resource center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2011

The main library located on the Boulder Creek has not only interesting building with all glass outer walls, which make the inside very bright and airy but also offers many nice cultural events from concerts, films, various discussion groups even conversations in Spanish and English.
Their internet access and free wifi is very popular , as well as the large selection of the books, videos and other materials, the books can be checked out for 3 weeks, the DVDs and CDs for 1 week.
The staff is hit and miss, mostly nice, sometimes not very competent.
There is large parking lot on the Arapahoe street which allows patrons to park for up to 3 hours free of charge.

“A Must Visit if You're on the Boulder Creek Path”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2010

- Located along the Boulder Creek, it is perfect to stop by if you happen to be on the path.
- There is a cafe inside the bridge that spans the creek. Tables are by the windows and it's a beautiful view.
- Indoors are fish tanks in the children's area, and art exhibits for adults and children.
- There are many places inside where you can get beautiful views of Boulder.
- The grounds are perfect for a summer picnic, and it is a short walk to Central Park and/or Pearl Street.

“Library Lovers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2008

We enjoy visiting public libraries on our vacations -- they often have wonderful architecture, art, gardens, book sales, cafes -- and Boulder Public Library has all of these!

The north and south wings are connected by a windowed bridge over Boulder Creek. Both wings of the library are surrounded by the city's Central Park, with gardens and sculptures at both entrances. There is also free parking for library patrons at the Arapahoe & 11th Street side.

When we visited in July 2008 the attached Canyon Gallery and surrounding corridors featured a show of all types of glass works, as well as a photo series of Colombia. There are permanent collection paintings as well and an area for teen art projects.

We also picked up some used books that had been donated to the library for $2 each.
