“It's a great Colorado experience”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Music during the summer music festival preceeded by a picnic on the grounds is a wonderful way to spend a Colorado summer evening. The whole place has a lot of history. There are cabins to rent, a dining room in which to have dinner, and many places to relax on the grounds before, during, and after almost anything that is going on. A caveat: parking at Chautauqua is difficult at best. Learn where the shuttles are and take one. If you're hauling a picnic, that is not very convenient. So then GET THERE EARLY. This is a must-do for us at least once each summer. Even though it's in Boulder and we live in Denver.

“A Refuge in the Middle of Boulder”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Nestled near the Flat Irons this is one of the best secrets that is kept. That is Chautauqua Park. Chautauqua rents bungalows in the summer months to people who wish to stay there. They range from one room with a kitchen and a bath to large buildings with two bedrooms and a bath. The sizes vary and the cost s vary. You can look it up on the web. There are hiking trails, a playground a community house that one can rent for special occasions and a venue for plays readings and music. There are lectures given there as well. It reminds me of summer camp with more amenities.

“A real treasure”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Stopped here for lunch at the wonderful old dining hall. The food was surprisingly good, and the views from the porch of the Flatirons were terrific. Good service, too. Afterwards, we strolled around the park. Will plan to spend much more time here next time we are in Boulder!

“Spectacular views of the flatirons!”

Awesome trail system next to Boulder's most iconic scenery. The Chautauqua area is has a quant little neighborhood with summer cottages, a great restaurant, parks, a music venue, and a playground. If you stop in Boulder, make sure to swing by Chautauqua.

“Relax & Enjoy”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

After traveling from Atlanta and experiencing jetlag from a very early start we found this great park right in Boulder. We relaxed under a tree, enjoyed the sun and the beauty of the Flat Rocks, and hiked. This is a great place to go with your loved one, your kids, or by yourself. Slow down and relax…this is the place!
