“A lovely place; great scenery and atmosphere plus the best wine”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

I visited Sirromet with my parents and their friends, it's about a short 20 min from the Brisbane CBD. Scenery is amazing and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful with kangaroos running around, kids playing outdoors and different ages of family members getting together on a great Saturday.
Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Totally loved the wine tasting and cheese platter.
Such a shame restaurant was close to public due to a wedding, I heard the food there are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back there soon.

“Great day out!”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

We took the Sirromet winery tour(20 AUD p.p.). Through the tour guide's exposition, we experienced the history of Sirromet Wines and gained an insight into the wine-making process when we go behind the scenes of a working wineary . Well, the highlight of the tour was definitely the feast for the senses during the wine-tasting session in which we tried 8 different wines inc. white, red, sparking, sweet, bitter, acidity and salty ones and we commented and scored each and every single on of them. In the end, just as some of us were about to tip over, we made an impulse buy of 4 bottles of our favorite wines out of the 8. All in all, it is a fun and informative tour. P.S. Upon request, they have Chinese-speaking tour guides and also they provide door-to-door shipping service to China for tourists who're constrained to carry up to 2 bottles of wine home. Impressive!

“Winery tour and tasting - yum yum!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Sirromet was absolutely beautiful.
We had a tour led by David - he had only been there for four weeks, but I'm quite sure he must have been at a winery previously as he had an extensive knowledge base. His humour and enthusiasm was wonderful and flamboyant, although I'm fearful for his alcoholism!
The production process was interesting and informative, which you wouldn't just read from a book - we were taken through the process and saw each piece of machinery involved in the making.
It was a very hot day and a bottle of water to walk around the property with would not have gone astray.
At the end of the tour we finally came to the best bit - the tasting. We were given the opportunity to taste the 8 most popular wines. These included a Chardonnay Pinot noir; Sauvignon blanc; Chardonnay; Shiraz voignier; Cabernet Sauvignon; lightly sparking rosé; sweet lite red; sun wine. Our favourites were the Chardonnay Pinot noir and the sweet lite red! We could then purchase these which was so convenient and well-priced.
Our only issue was standing up during the tasting following the tour. It was hot and we were tired - a sit-down tasting would have been perfect.
All in all, it was a fabulous experience, and we'll be back!

“Lovely”

Got a tasty ice cream and sat on the lawns for a while! Wild kangaroos and wallabies roam around and are not shy! Worth climbing up the tower and having a look out!
