we ate here a couple of times during our stay. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We had breakfast several days it was great, burgers are good as well. The restaurant is not open after 2pm during the week which is a draw back. Daniel was a wonderful server - we asked for his section every day

Thank michelle h

Me and the girlfriend ate here during an overnight stay in Blackhawk. The food was good, definitely better than most of the casino fare that's up there. The prices are also reasonable, which of course leaves you more money to lose at the tables. The handmade shakes are excellent for those who have a sweet tooth!

My 15 year old son and I stopped in here one day looking for "just a place to eat" that wasn't fast food. Oh my goodness. We both had the chicken fried steak and country gravy -- a favorite of both of ours -- and wow. It was either the best or second best CFS we've EVER had anywhere (we still can't decide if it's this one or Stroud's in Kansas City). All of the other side dishes were good too and the service was great. Really loved this find of ours and wish it was closer to home so we could visit more often.

The only downside is that this restaurant is only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday. We would have made another stop at this restaurant on a later trip but we passed by in the late afternoon on an early weekday. :-(

We ate breakfast here three times during our stay at Ameristar. Both my husband and I had very basic breakfasts (eggs, hash browns and toast) and the meals were fine every time. We were pleased that they had salsa for the eggs on request, too. Prices were about average for a diner in a casino, but better than average for their breakfast juices - just $2.49 for their "small" which was a 12 oz. glass. On our first morning there, the service seemed slow, but it was much quicker the other two times. We'll certainly eat here again if we visit Ameristar in the future.

We had breakfast here one morning and the service was good, food was average and a little on the high side. We ordered eggs, biscuits and gravy and wanted a screwdriver and Bloody Mary but we were told we had to go outside to the bar to get it, we'll you can only get one drink at a time so it was quite annoying entering and exiting twice while your breakfast gets a little cold. Food was a little bland, but salt and pepper with some tobacco helped out. The waiter kept giving a script about the new milk shakes available with candy bars, ect . Quite strange as it was only 10am. Cocktails/ champagne seem more appropriate, but the staff was pleasant.
