“Sign up for the Players Club”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

Small casino however the table limits are much more reasonable than the others in town. Definately sign up for the players club card! Lots of freebies and the food at Shamrock's Cafe was surprisingly great. You can chose any entry form a $7 sandwich to their $20 prime rib.

“Loose Enough to Have a Good Time”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

On our recent visit to Black Hawk, CO, we visited every casino in the town. One of the first we visited was Fitzgerald's. We always get a players club card and ask if ther are any promotions. This casino was one of the few who did have promotions for new players. Once we earned a number of points, we got $5 in free play. Not much but better than most of the casinos were offering which was nothing. We also got a coupon book with a coupon for a free meal at one of the restaurants. There was no dollar value so we ordered a steak which was the most expensive item on the menu. Why not, right? We payed for drinks, dessert and a tip. The meal was very good. We also got a coupon, which didn't use, for $20 off a $50 meal at their better restaurant. In addition, we got a free hot dog. My husband used his coupon before I did so when I was finally hungry for a hot dog he came with me. The gal behind the bar gave him another free hot dog. That gesture went a long way since we played in the casino for several hours and even came back the next day. The slot attendants were very helpful if you don't know how to play a game and kind of directed us to the ones that seemed to be hot that day. Teh slots overall were loose enough to allow for some give and take which made our trip very enjoyable. We don't play slots looking to come out millionaires but do expect to be entertained for several hours by holding on to our money and even maybe walk away with some extra. Fitzgerald's did just that. The place is a little dated but it kind of goes with the area. It looked as if they were beginning to build their collection of the latest slots but many of the slots were a little older ones. That's ok though. The new ones don't seem to pay as well lately anyway. We still had a very nice time and will go back.
