“Excellent Stay”

Where to start when one gives glowing remarks?? This is the kind of hotel where Management takes care of the smallest details--Concierge Gayle sends us an email a few days before our arrival to offer her services to make sure we have a pleasant stay; our Ski Valet (Brian and others) made sure our ski boots were waiting for us in the morning; hot chocolate and granola bars were available at the Ski Valet, our bartender offered us a 50% off certificate for one night's stay on our next visit; Receptionist Samantha had some cold medication available when we needed it; free in-room WiFi; a Laundry/Dryer was available for our use; and daily turn-down service. Everyone seemed friendly, willing to help, and most especially, happy to be helping out. A few steps from the hotel is the chair lift--very convenient. As we discovered in an earlier posting, requesting a room not facing the chair lift is recommended if you want a quiet night's sleep. The Osprey also offers their own (glass) bottled spring water. A Laundry/Dryer was available for guests' use.

Of course the hotel is not perfect, so if I could give some comments: 1) our king room did not have a tub. If a bathtub is important to you, make sure you ask for a room with one; 2) our heater fan was a bit noisy; 3) balconies would've been a welcome addition; and 4) this is not the hotel's fault--quality and variety of food were not abundant in Beaver Creek Village. Driving to Avon provides more choices.

All in all, we had a wonderful experience at The Osprey and hope to return in the not so distant future.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend. The room was very nice and clean. However, we were placed on the first floor near the bar area and with a large window out to the pool area. Since we had a baby with us, this became a problem because the window was not very sound proof. They play music through speakers until 10 PM (when the pool closes) and one night I had to call the front desk to have it turned off because it was on well past 10 PM. The desk was nice about it and turned it off immediately. If we stay again, we'll make sure to request a room away from the bar area and the pool. The rooms were decorated well and they were spacious enough. I agree having the couch in front of the window does make it inconvenient for trying to shut the curtains at night, which we needed to do due to the pool area.

My wife and I joined several other couples for a weekend getaway to Beaver Creek. Our lodging at the Osprey was secured through a special email offer which provided us with a pretty good rate on the room. As we checked into the room, we immediately noticed that the climate control unit on the wall was broken. This prohibited us from being able to adjust the temperature of the room or turn the vent off completely which was our intention. Building staff had to literally replace the climate control unit. Our room contained a nice king size bed, but the square footage was very small. Another couple that joined us on the trip booked the exact same internet promotion, but were placed in a much larger room complete with mountain views and vaulted ceilings. In the morning, we proceeded to pay the extra 15 bucks for the breakfast buffet. This food leaved a lot to be desired as the bacon tasted like rubber and the eggs seemed stale. No coffee maker was available in our room and the bare bones Starbucks setup they had in the lobby didn't cut it. We had stayed at the Beaver Creek Lodge (up the street) just weeks earlier and left that hotel in complete awe. We felt as though The Lodge offered much nicer rooms, friendlier staff and the level of service was impeccable.

Wow!! We stayed three nights here during ski season and look forward to coming back every year.
We had two rooms and both were large and comfortable. Our grandchildren loved the fact that we were right next to the lifts and the breakfast buffet. We loved the service and friendly staff

We had a great time staying at Osprey. The staff was welcoming, courteous and helpful. They recommended a great restaurant for a birthday dinner and kindly kept the pool area open a bit later so we could sit in the hot tub a bit longer after our adventures of the day. The rooms were beautiful and spacious with very comfortable beds. (in fact, we may just go buy the same mattress!)
Our stay was very relaxing and we felt a bit spoiled. a perfect way to end a vacation. Thank you!

My family and I are not frequent travelers so trips are a treat. If you are looking for a huge resort with endless options, this may not be the answer. That said, our stay was everything we could hope for and more. The rooms were clean, contemporary and certainly large enough. We didn't dine at the hotel, but the food looked wonderful. The contemporary, earthy-style was a perfect fit for my wife and I.

Mostly, I cannot say enough about the staff. Without exception, everyone we met was delightful and friendly. From trip planning to recommendations, the staff were quick to help and offered many recommendations around the resort. I know my son will always grateful that a staff had called us at home saying they found his lost toy - almost a month after our visit! We'll be back!

We love skiing here. The service at the restaurant and front desk are both great. Meghan was particularly helpful.
The WiFi went down but they were very nice and let me use their office.
The only problem is whoever decorated the rooms [had no expertise]. They look good but you have to climb on top of the huge couch to open or close your curtains. Its Ok because the hotel is for skiers who have to be in shape, still its very odd.
