“Outstanding!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2010

Located in the Pines Lodge, we took the shuttle from the Park Hyatt (5 minutes) and arrived at 7:30 pm. Our table was not yet ready so we had a drink in their very small bar located in the back left corner. Bartender was very friendly and made a few suggestions for dinner. He was right on.

Please see my blog at http://talesfromtheroad-mwalno.blogspot.com/

We had a great table by the window, and our waiter Ted was EXCELLENT. We were starved as it was our first night and quickly ordered dinner. I had the BEST PORK CHOP EVER, the "pretzel chop" - it was so good that I could have LICKED THE PLATE...and I spoke to a few others who had the same and they LOVED it as well.

Hot Mamma had the striped bass (it was great) and the Lobster Mac. She also destroyed several glasses of very expensive wine!

Ambiance is great and we had a lovely evening........this is our favorite place, and second only to Zach's.

“It was good, but not #1”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2010

Overall, great experience, but OK food. The bartender, Eddie, was quite interesting to talk with. The wait staff was tremendous. The piano player was the hit of the evening. Great wines. We had the elk tenderloin and at the request of the waiter, he said to order medium rare. We did, and my wife thought it was too rare and very bloody, which kind of made it uneasy. We had the fois gras which was awful. Would I go back, yes, but probably for drinks and view.

“Could have been good...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2010

We ate here during a recent ski trip, and although the food was fine, the whole experience wasn't what we'd hoped. Maybe it was an off night, but the service was horribly slow... not in the beginning, when we seemed to get lots of attention from our waiter. But the time between the appetizer and main courses was almost an hour. And the restaurant didn't seem that busy. The manager came over to apologize, but it didn't make up for the fact that the evening was spoiled. If you're a Type A personality, and like everything to run like clockwork, you might want to think twice about dining here.

“Surprisingly delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2010

I have yet to find a great restaurant in Lake Tahoe, so I was surprised to find that the food in Beaver Creek was quite scrumptious! My mom and I went to the Grouse Mountain Grill on a whim and were thrilled! Service was pleasant, atmosphere was nice, and the food was one of a kind. The sweet potato agnolotti was like nothing I've ever tasted. I'm not a fan of goat cheese, but we had a goat cheese and carmelized onion tart that I had no problem eating. Highly recommend this restaurant.

“Excellent meal, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2010

On our second night in Beaver Creek we both decided we were interested in game for dinner. Scott at the Charter recommended we go to Grouse Mountain Grill and we were very happy for his recommendation. It was a most pleasant start to our time in Colorado and the food was excellent! I was particularly impressed with the by the glass wine selections and the menu pairing recommendations for each course. The menu was imaginative so when we were offered desert, were a little disappointed with the limited somewhat unimaginative offerings. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good foodie quality meal in Beaver Creek.
